I loved the plot! Jeffrey Archer has written this novel beautifully.. you can almost visualize the sequence of events as they unfold. The story has its twists and turns that'll keep you engaged! Even though I wanted to find out what happens in the end, I didnt want this one to get over... I wanted more! Would highly recommend this one.. you won't be disappointed!

Why few authors in the world have the capability to tell you who the criminal is at the beginning of a book and still keep you hooked to it till the very last word of it. Jeffrey Archer is one such rare author. Immense respect for the author, loved the plot of the book. Perfect , to the point of being flawless. And very interesting . Loved it!! I have read many other works of Jeffrey Archer and hope to experience more of his work again.

Why did I choose this:
I asked my friend to suggest me a book where I cannot easily predict what's going to happen next. And even if I did, how that's going to happen. She suggested me this and it did not disappoint. The way the story progresses from a bar to a court to a prison then to Geneva.... Is simply awesome storytelling.

Having seen life so closely, his characters are real people who we meet or may have met in our lives.
His relationships are crafted with truth and love.
I have been in his company (with his thoughts) for almost 4 decades, having met him only once. I couldn't have a better friend or counsel.
Thank you, Lord Archer.
May such arrows always embellish your quiver. It's a privilege.

Though the premise of the story is a bit weak, but Archer has more than made up by his impeccable story telling skills and writing. Again an unputdownable book from him. It excites, makes you anxious, indulges you, makes you highly emotional. Reader is capitavated from start to end- A Prisoner of (Archer's) Storytelling Skills. Just Read It.

When I started reading this book I just thought to myself that I have read this book before so I just left it by reading just about 20% of the book. But one day as I was travelling I thought why not read this book and then I never stopped because the book had something that kept me glued to it.

Both it's storyline and binding were amazing. The author has narrated the story so well that from the beginning itself you feel attached to it, even after revealing the name of the killer the at beginning it will still keep your interest. There were so many different characters with their different storyline that were too very interesting that you can actually feel their emotions. Overall the book is worth both time and money.

Superb book. I have read all of Jeffrey Archer's books apart from the Clifton Chronicles which I am just starting. However Prisoner of Birth is I think one of his best.. The twists and turns along the way are so cleverly executed, a truly gifted writer. My son, when at University bought it at Kings Cross Station, by the time he reached Leeds he had finished it. It is that sort of book, when you are not reading it you are subconsciously thinking about it. A real page turner.

Gripping, Compelling and Suspenseful

You know the feeling when you begin a book and instantly know it's going to be an absolutely amazing read. A Prisoner of Birth is definitely one of those books. East End mechanic Danny Cartwright finds himself unjustly accused of a terrible crime, on the very night he is out celebrating his forthcoming nuptials. An unbelievable turn of events will soon change his life forever. I will not spoil it by revealing more, but I cannot praise this book enough, if I could I would have given it six stars. Well written, interesting and gripping throughout, with twists and suspense at every corner. This is my first book from Jeffrey Archer and I have absolutely loved it, the man is a genius. A must read.

Five Stars!

I have read this book so many times before, but when I saw it whilst browsing I had to buy it as I haven't got it for the Kindle! This has to be one of this author's best books. It was the first book I read of his and it had me hooked to this author's writing instantly. The story is so cleverly done, leaving every chapter on a cliffhanger. The author obviously uses his own experiences to write this story, particularly from the prison perspective, which makes it all the more realistic. It is the perfect example of how a story should be told! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Highly recommend!

Obviously I’m a fan of Jeffrey Archer after reading the Clifton Chronicles and several other well known books. This was on offer on Kindle and decided that 99p was an outlay I could make not knowing much about this book other than some reviews.
Definitely worth the money plus more as once I picked this up on kindle I had read it in 3 days which for me is very quickly indeed now that I have plenty of time.
From the prologue setting the scene to the very end had me captivated by the excellent story being told and it was an edge of the seat experience to say the least. It’s like Mr Archer has used a fishing rod to lay the bait, got me hooked and ever so fast pulled me in.
Definitely a great story and worthy of being made into a tv series. I thought it could have gone on for longer but it had to end eventually.
