These are good bookends at this price. They are very basic yet purposeful. They look exactly like they look in the pictures. Nothing more, nothing less. I ordered them for my child's library, which mainly consists of hardbound boardbooks of various sizes. Hence it was a bigger challenge than to stack your regular paperbacks. Earlier I had considered many other options, which were much much expensive but finally took a chance with these as they were rather inexpensive. They did the job well.
They were packed well in a roomy amazon cardboard box cushioned with air bags. Both bookends were spanking new and wrapped in airtight cellophane.

The product came in well packaged, no damage whatsoever. The material feels sturdy but since I have some pretty heavy books, I had my own reservations. However to my delight it could easily hold all my books in place without any problem. Fit and finish is good and the matte black paint looks durable. As I said the stand is sturdy if you are using it the way it is intended ie to keep the books perpendicular to the shelf, however if the books are kept at an angle, the book end may not be able to take the weight. BTW the book ends are supporting 15kg worth of books between them.Overall Iam happy with the product and feel it's a value for money product.

It is one of my best purchase on Amazon in terms of utility and value for money. The product is of high quality and usefulness in keeping the books in order. You can expand both the ends when you add more books and shorten when the books are less. Don't doubt it's sturdiness and ability to keep books straight as I have books that cross 1300 pages and weigh above 2 kgs on my table. It helps to organize your books for easy access and tidy look. Books life itself will increase when you use this metal bookend. I like the nice understated look of the bookend that highlights only your books. It is a must buy if you have many books and want to keep them in best position for easy access and neat look.

Its actually nice. I thought it will be shakey but it is not. Its firm. It can hold the books as in N no. Of books. Its made up of metal. Its heavy and the color is matt black. Its perfect if you wish to organize your desk without willing to put another small book shelf on it. I guess this was a good decision.
