Good magical story that kept my son hooked. Decent paper quality too. A nice book to learn about friendship. Bold and bright illustraions from Leo Lionni are a treat for the eyes.

This is a sweet story of the friendship between a mouse and a wind up mouse. What makes it beautiful is the selfless act in the end. The illustrations are as usual amazing. It's slightly lengthy and may be more suitable for 4+ in my opinion because my 3 year old had a tough time sitting through the entire story.

Daughter loved the book as a child, in fact it was renewed from the Library for about 4 years - she had seen it as a puppet show.
Grandaughter who has reading difficulties is enjoying the book as well, in fact like her mother
it has to be read every night.
