A lengthy cute romance which could have better explained in passive voice than active. Needs through editing n not just child play

MY TAKE🌼:
•
If you know me, you already probably know that I am hoarder for the genre Romance. I came across this book recently and OMG! such a cute love story, I am flattered. The love triangle setting is what binds this book so perfectly in my opinion. The plot is super realistic and the conflicts between both the guys to win Mahi is super entertaining. I was amazed by the quality of content considering it being a debut- so much of depth, totally loved is. This is one of those books that will hold you from the first page itself and you won't feel bored even for a second. I recommend this book to every Romance lover and to those who don't read Romance, you should start with this work and you won't be disappointed.

It is a real sweet and cute next - door neighbor's love story, nicely crafted. Enjoyed it immensely. Mahi is cuteness personified. Good job done.

This is definitely a book that will bring back the nostalgia, happy tears and so much of fun. I loved the mild twists, it gives out a complete different flavor to the story. The title is really apt and I could make it when I reached the end of the story. Darshi is definitely now on my list romance writers, this book will be amazing for all age groups, but the fact it has some romantic scenes which might not be appropriate for kids or pre teens. I will definitely recommend it, also the ending it has my heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful, Brings-All-the-Feels Indian Romance

I'll admit that I don't read many books by authors outside of the US, UK, Canada, and Australia--although I've only started reading from that last country in the last year. In particular, I have not read many Indian authors. But I was lucky enough to discover the author of this book last year. I was surprised at the depth of her debut novella that came out at the end of last year. This is a full-blown, full-length novel that brings all the feels. What I loved the most, I think, was the humor and wonderful banter between the hero, the heroine, and the hero's younger brother (who happens to be the heroine's best friend). The opening scene certainly grabbed my attention, where the hero's brother surprises the heroine with a marriage proposal—which she certainly was not expecting from her best friend.

Things get more interesting when the older brother shows up. We learn of a complex family dynamic with the brothers. Because of their father's death, they do not have a friendly or brotherly relationship. Neither understands the other, and large and small misunderstandings abound. So this isn’t just a romance; this is about brothers dragged kicking and screaming (figuratively) to make things right after the tragic event. The road for both the romance and the brothers’ relationship repair is rocky. The hero and heroine coming together--especially since he's been in love with her for years--and then getting torn apart for noble, though misguided, reasons is what brings all the feels.

The author has a breezy writing style that is super easy to read. The book is told in the alternating perspectives of the hero and heroine in the first-person present. I am typically not a fan of the first-person present, but the author actually manages to pull it off. She actually even makes me forget that is the way the story is told; she writes that immersive of a tale. What I like, too, is that she seems to have an inherent sense of how to create believable, likable characters and plot timing. The good twists and the bad turns seemed to happen at just the right moments, just before things were too good or too bad for too long. I like that she's created a deep backstory for the characters and a particularly difficult one for the brothers. These characters have a long history with each other, and that just enriches the new romance and the family dynamics. She's done an excellent job creating complex characters that you want to root for as they find their way through the ups and downs.

I also found this story interesting as a little glimpse into Indian culture. I will have to admit that I don't know that much about it, but fiction told by someone from there is a great way to understand and appreciate cultural differences. If you are relatively new, like me, to Indian romance but have a curiosity about how it's different from what you might be used to (or you just like a well-written romance with excellent characters), pick up this book, and you will be pleasantly surprised like I was.
