About the Author
Bhakti Mathur took to writing in 2010 when she created the popular Amma, Tell Me series of children's picture books about Indian festivals and mythology. After a long stint as a banker, she now juggles her time between her writing, her passion for yoga and long-distance running, and her family. She lives in Hong Kong with her husband, their two children and two dogs. She holds a master of fine arts degree in creative writing from the University of Hong Kong and freelances as a journalist. When not writing or running after her young boys, Bhakti is happiest curled up with a book in one hand
and a hot cup of chai in the other. To know more, visit her at www.bhaktimathur.com.

What was extremely interesting for me when it came to this book - to realize that there are so many things to see in Shirdi besides the main shrine - the Hanuman temple, Dwarka Mai, Dhuni Mai, etc. To read about them & their significance in Baba's life was a wonderful eye-opener!
Bhakti's stories reach out to kids everywhere & help them understand the wonderful diversity in our culture & religion. Over & above, through the story, words & graphics the qualities of love & tolerance come through beautifully in a seamless manner - that is the power of her storytelling.
We may have heard of Baba's miracles & his healing touch, but by reading about them you can feel that through the words that will make you seek his blessings. Engaging stories, interesting facts and insightful details - here's to engaging our kids in conversations around religion & culture, the Bhakti Mathur way!
The story gives us a detailed overview of Sai Baba's life. His arrival at Shirdi, the love he garnered throughout his lifetime, his Miracles and his teachings.
The story has been made interesting by the children's curiosity to know more about the place they were visiting. The detail-oriented writing is a treat because of its simplicity.
This is a series you must check out, if you've got kids and plan to introduce them to different faiths.
It's a story of Amma and her 2boys, Shiv and Veer who were heading to Shirdi. Thiss book is perfect to teach about insights of Sai Baba and the illustrations are enthralled with interesting facts which grabs kids attention and makes them to engage with conversations about mythology, religious, his simplicity, his thoughts, his miracles, his healing touch, his clothes and so on..It brings alive an important place of worship in an engaging and non-preachy way.
This book definitely drives my daughter imagination and one day she may take her trip to Shirdi when she grows older.
