Anxious People is the most relatable book I have read so far. The way the author has put light on the mental health issues, what the characters are actually going through inside them. Everything is so beautiful. I don’t think I have come across a book which describes human connection, the effect they have on each other so beautifully. The way he has described how we feel at our lowest, during disappointment, the love for our children, the feeling of despair, grief is something I can never put words to. Even after mention of suicide and the struggles of the character, the book didn’t break me instead it was heartwarming, though I got really sad while reading some of the parts.
It hits you at the right spots, it plays with you and gives you a realisation. If there were a visualisation of moments of oxymorons. This is because it gives you hope and despair all at the same time. It's an amazing reference to anxiety, it's what many like me too go through.
Please do pick this one up readers, because it'll end up giving you a lot about yourself.
Very unrealistic at times.
A better read from the same author is - A man called Ove. I had cried reading that book

Perhaps this is a story about a hostage situation, anxious people, idiots, an apartment viewing, a police investigation, a bridge.
Perhaps this is a story about human relationships, which is something Backman writes about masterfully. This one was no exception, I laughed, I cried, I savored every word and page. Another brilliant novel by one of the best!
