5.0 out of 5 stars Best arabic book.. that you can get and reliable.
By Amazon Customer on 28 February 2019
Best arabic learning book for English speaker that will make you from beginner to intermediate level. And at end of the each book there are answer keys of all lessons in English. To understand this book more easily , you should prefer online /net videos related to durus ul lughut al arabiyah (madina book 1,2,3). Make sure , while learning ,you should have short-hand book (rough book),so that you can note down important points that are thought by online teacher.

These textbooks were originally composed by Dr. V. Abdur Rahim. They were edited and printed in black-and-white by Iqbal Ahmad Azami, who writes in the introduction that these texts are "suitable for use in both madrasahs and Islamic schools in the UK and other Western countries." Azami notes that additional materials in English for those students who do not live in Arabic-rich environments, where Arabic is spoken, were added as keys. But this material in English is very minimal and, in my view, insufficient for anyone without access to an Arabic instructor. The original textbooks and all the ancillary materials, however, are still available for free online. Google LQ Toronto to access this material, including all the books (in color) plus multimedia. Even with all these additions, again, it may still not be suitable for beginners who do not have ready access to an Arabic instructor. As other reviews note, one also has to learn to write and pronounce Arabic letters and sounds before starting this course. For English speakers with little acquaintance with Arabic, instead of these books, look for Brustad, al-Batal, Al-Tonsi's textbook series Alif Baa and Al-Kitaab (and a good teacher!).

In the attached photos, see a picture of the quotation from Azami's introduction. Then, compare the print book's lesson 1 (black-and-white) and the screenshot of the free PDF lesson 1 (color).
