Review

A must read for all age groups. iam not at all spritual person , even though i didn't ordered it my self my mom did.i just found this book in my home or now can say the book found me.i opened it to move some pages but happened to read it and can say that i a non spritual person like this book soo much that i can read it again and again.its not book aimed at converting someone, its a really intersting book to read ,full of very exicting, interesting experiences.A must read for all age groups. --student Dec 25, 2011

a must read book this book is outstanding... one should read it at-least once in their life time. its is a merger of science and spirituality, and explains alot of spiritual experiences in scientific way. those who are seekers will be benefited in their own individual growth as it is highly recommended by many spiritual masters. --neetu Jul 3, 2014

A beautifully authored book and a timeless classic. More of an enthralling adventure rather than some faux-religious book. Doesn't enforce any particular form of worship and very secular in approach. --Dr. Aditya Dec 16, 2012 --This text refers to the hardcover edition.

Amazon.com Review

"I keep stacks of Autobiography of a Yogi around the house, and I give it out constantly to people. When people need 'regrooving,' I say read this, because it cuts to the heart of every religion." - George Harrison --This text refers to the paperback edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting! Gives an insight into many spiritual philosophies
By Archi on 24 June 2019
Please see the pictures attached for the Table of Contents.

Autobiography of a Yogi describes the life of Paramahansa Yogananda begining with his childhood, finding his guru Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, becoming a monk and practicing Kriya Yoga meditation and his travels across America to spread his teachings.

It also describes his encounters with spiritual and notable figures of both the Eastern and the Western world such as Therese Neumann in Bavaria, the Hindu saint Ananda Moyi Ma, Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, C. V. Raman, J. C. Bose, Giri Bala (the woman yogi who never eats), Tiger swami (fought tigers with hands), Sleepless saint, etc.

The book describes many accounts of supernatural episodes like visions, reincarnations, levitation, teleportation, etc. It also mentions magic healings, perfume magic, electrons and protons manipulated by prana lifetrons, etc.

It also talks about Yoga as science of meditation and mind control, the science of Kriya yoga to rejuvenate body, Om sound to concentrate, life force controlled by breath action, etc.

He respected all religions and has shared the teachings of Jesus Christ and various other religious figures also.

Overall, it is a very interesting book. You need to read it with an open mind :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Believe it or not
By KABIR SINGH on 30 October 2018
One of most unbelievable books on yoga . In this book yoganand told about his own life , his childhood when he grave for a kite and got it through his powerful thought power . When he met her mother after dying in the form in dream .
Book consists chapter like PERFUME Saint , 2BODY Saint ...
Each chapter looks like an episode of a series name "Mystics " of India.

And also English used in books comprises a vast vocabulary for competition preparation also . You can read it like a fictional novel.
Page quality is very nice at a reasonable price near 120rs .

Also it consists a CD .
So powerful package for knowledge seekers.
