This is definitely one of the better-made ‘push, pull and slide’ books I’ve come across. The push, pull, slide boards are a fun alternative to, and a step up from, ‘lift the flap’ stories, so are perfect for slightly older toddlers. Even with rough handling from an over-enthusiastic 2 year-old, this book has remained intact.
The illustrations are lovely, with interesting detail to encourage discussion, and the simple rhymes are great for engaging toddlers and developing new vocabulary. Above all, the book offers an excellent introduction to basic counting, taking you through the numbers 1-5 page by page with the help of different animals. The final spread brings all the animals (and other creatures) together for a game of find and count. Highly recommended.
Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful. Check out my profile page for more reviews of toddler books and puzzles and educational toys and games.

Nice book - lousy delivery

Colourful and fun BUT delivery by Amazon - left by gate 30m from house instead of inside porch to front door. Fortunately not stolen or wet as only the packet had got wet. It was NOT handed to resident as reported.

Love this little book. My 3 year old loves looking at all the little details in the illustrations while the simple text is perfect for her and her younger brother (18m).
