I first saw this range of books while browsing in a comic book shop.I was looking for something different to my usual Manga
and thought that these just might do...,and they do.The stories are great and the artworks supports it very well.
I love graphic novels and enjoyed every page.I've tried reading the original Ann Martin novels but definitely prefer the Graphix !
I can see why they are the most popular books in printing history !
For someone to bother adapting them for a new audience is a sign that they feel they will hold up.
There are some very nice touches in the art to give depth to every scene including the clothes the characters wear and
definitely their facial expressions,I love it !
It was nice to meet Mimi and Janine...,properly.I did enjoy the car scene when the family returns from the hospital after
visiting Mimi. The back seat looked soo big with that huge gap between Claud and Janine.
It's great drawing like that which maintains my interest in buying more books in this series.
For those of us that like our stories told in Movie format,(ie, pictures) it doesn't get any better than this.
