Tall, dark, and deadly, these three brothers run Walker security. Each brother is unique in his methods and skills, but all share key similarities. They are passionate about those they love, relentless when fighting for a cause they believe in, and all believe that no case is too hard, no danger too dark. Dedication is what they deliver, results are their reward.

Now, two years later, he's working with his brothers at Walker Security, but he's living fast, hard, and wild, until he reaches the ultimate high...revenge. He's one meeting, one woman, away from being inside one of the money laundering shells the cartel operates.
Their two will paths collide.
Two people who will do anything, including sleeping with the enemy, to avenge or save someone they love. But what if everything isn't as it seems and the enemy isn't the enemy at all? Can these two broken people drawn together by their sizzling hot attraction see beyond their pain and their need for vengeance? Undoubtedly, they will face the ghosts of their pasts, but will those ghost destroy them or forever bind them?

Blake is the baby of the family. For two years now, he has lived for nothing but revenge for someone who was taken from him in a brutal manner. He left the ATF to join his brothers in Walker Security whilst waiting for his vengeance. He lives in the fast lane. Women and fast cars. There is no way that he is ever getting involved with a woman again. Well! He is in for a surprise.
Kara works as a secretary for one of the most dangerous cartels. She too, has lost someone she loves and will go to any length to uncover the truth. Her first encounter with Blake didn't end well but why worry? She is unlikely to meet him again.
Blake goes to work for the cartel without his brothers knowledge. It would appear that he has gone rogue! When he attends his first meeting with his new boss, he is greeted by Kara. Surprised? You bet! Instantly they become wary of each other but the chemistry that surfaced during their first encounter still lingers. They end up working together even though Kara is dead against being that close to him. As for Blake, it's a question of keeping the enemy closer. They don't trust each other but the heat between them sizzles and hot sex follows at every opportunity. They become to realise that there is more to them that they think. Feelings start to materialise and, inadvertently they become aware of each other's identity. This doesn't help as Blake feels like he is back to this dark place. Not that he was ever out of it!
It turns out that there is more going on in the cartel than just drug trafficking. They are in more danger than anticipated. Can they achieve their objectives and get out?
Kara and Blake make a great couple as they are quite alike in many ways. They are both loyal to those they love. This instalment spells danger. It has plenty of action, mystery and sex. I like the way Kyle is portrayed and the end leads flawlessly to Deep Under where Kyle is the hero.
I have enjoyed reading every book in this series. The Walker brothers are addictive!
This book is much slower than the other two and the plot seemed rather dragged out and Kara's thought and emotions felt repeated when it added no depth to the story. I found myself scan reading the book in places as I was keen to see what happened, but got bored with the content in places.
The story ends with the promise of Kyle's story (employee of Walker Securities), but after this book I'm not sure if the author has taken this series as far as it goes. I won't be rushing to buy this book unless it is very cheap!
