The only book that could possibly be easier than this one is "The No Ingredient Cookbook"
I was very sceptical about the "4 ingredients max" before the book arrived. I am so used to even the most straight forward recipe books that I own, containing a long list of ingredients and cooking steps.
After reading the introduction, my husband ( who can't cook by the way) is now gloating, as he long maintained that using so many ingredients masked and confused flavours and was not necessary.
The book begins with info pages on equipment, and supplies for the kitchen. There are also recipes for sauces, marinades and flavoured creams. All as easy as the main recipes.
The main recipes with 3 or 4 ingredients only, are so achievable. The amount of cooking steps required is on average about 4.
You just really feel that "You" can do it. This goes a long way immediately, to achieving success.
The pictures for every recipe are so handy, inspiring and look like Michelin star concoctions. This is so nice, to feel you can still turn out appetising food when you are feeling so useless. I was not expecting recipes of this calibre.
This book is great for cooking just for yourself, or trying out things out of your normal range, as so few ingredients mean not a lot of cost. The budget conscious will benefit greatly too.
This will be a superb book if there are austere times ahead.
I notice that it keeps selling out. Get it while you can.
It gets a 5* from me, a must have on the cooking shelf.
Lovely simple recipes covering every occasion and so far all have worked well.
