Rick Riordan is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, the Kane Chronicles, and the Heroes of Olympus. He is also the author of the multi-award-winning Tres Navarre mystery series for adults.

For fifteen years, Rick taught English and history at public and private middle schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Texas. In 2002, Saint Mary's Hall honored him with the school's first Master Teacher Award.

While teaching full time, Riordan began writing mystery novels for grownups. His Tres Navarre series went on to win the top three national awards in the mystery genre - the Edgar, the Anthony and the Shamus. Riordan turned to children's fiction when he started The Lightning Thief as a bedtime story for his oldest son.

Today over 35 million copies of his Percy Jackson, Kane Chronicles, and Heroes of Olympus books are in print in the United States, and rights have been sold into more than 35 countries. Rick is also the author of The 39 Clues: The Maze of Bones, another #1 New York Times bestseller.

Rick Riordan now writes full-time. He lives in Boston with his wife and two sons.

5.0 out of 5 stars Want moreee
By Autumn Melody on 17 January 2019
This was a stunning conclusion to The Heroes of Olympus series. The ending was really nice, especially the part with Nico and Will 😂 The final battle and conclusion was everything I like in Riordan's books. So many people worked together. Super fun to read. Tied up so many loose ends and set up for Trials of Apollo.
Also, pretty hardcover.

5.0 out of 5 stars Had (almost) everything I wanted...
By Anika and Ishani Kulkarni on 8 September 2021
I loved this book soooo much!
I had the feeling every bookworm📖 gets when you are literally inside the book, I think that everyone should have this feeling at least once.
The part that caught me off guard was the end..... The part where a woman writes what she would have ended the book as.
It was fun to read.... I'm not against it. Its just that I would have preferred Rick Riordian writing those pages....Who knows what could have happened in those 15 pages?
And the Cover illustrations looked nothing like the characters I imagined!
Mostly people think that the HOO(Heroes of Olympus) series is not as good as the PJ(Percy Jackson) one because this series has ''Romans".
Why???

Anyway, This book is a must read!
So buy it right now!!
It was in very good condition and it smelled just like the 'new book pages' smell I yearn for when I get a new book😊
PS:I don't know if this is a coincidence or not, but just after I finished House Of Hades(the book before this one),I went to Amazon to see if This book had been delivered. And guess what? It had! So i didn't have to suffer the consequences of the major cliffhanger at the end of House Of Hades!
good timing amazon!!!
