5.0 out of 5 stars Love it.
By Deepak on 2 April 2019
This is a very good book for beginners and I love the pocket size of this book, I can comfortably carry it with me.

Updated on 6-6- 2019

After finishing this book, I would again like to confirm my earlier review. I love this book.

This is a great compact book for beginners with a special focus on Backrank checkmates. I love the format of the book too, it uses programmed instruction where the book shows a few examples and lets us solve positions to cement our understanding of the material.

I wish this book was made into a series of books using the same method for further chess studies.

However, this book does not teach us the chess notation which can be found in any other book or online anyway.

The publishers have also made sure that all the material is on the right page for easier visibility and that is the reason a lot of people are not able to understand initially why some pages are upside down.

The book has a total of 275 diagrams which we need to solve with solutions. On the next page.

I would recommend any beginner to go through this book at least 3-4 times in the beginning and then go through the book once every month, that will make the information in it concrete and improve your game tremendously.

This book is invaluable in my estimation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bobby é um dos gênios do Xadrez mundial
Reviewed in Brazil on 5 July 2020
