5.0 out of 5 stars Bryson at his Best
Reviewed in India on 26 October 2019
Have you ever find your school biology textbook, well, literally, funny? Some might say they find it "interesting", but funny? Nah, I don't think anyone would come forward raising his/her hand, giggling and telling how funny their biology book was. Now the good news is: Bill Bryson has come up with one. And in this book, Bryson is absolutely at his best.

So, what do we think about our most intimate possession, our body? As Bryson considers, "We pass our existence within this warm wobble of flesh and yet take it entirely for granted." So do I. How true! Bryson, maintaining his usual expertise (à la "A Short History of Nearly Everything"), writes the book in an entertaining yet informative way. Our body is not only a complex subject, this is mysterious to say the least. And I've learned so much through this book.

So, I've long owned a machine (well, so much more than a machine, though) without a User's Manual, and at last I've laid my hands on one. You should, too.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disgusting page quality... Poor quality
Reviewed in India on 23 July 2021
I'm sure the content of this book is great and that's why I bought it. I was very eager to read this book but the page quality of this book is so bad that I applied for replacement.
Sadly I got a worse quality book upon replacement.
Pages are thin and not at all attractive.
Book has problems with binding.
Pages are coming out.
There are some yellow spots on the sides which is a problem with poor quality paper.
Well looks like you just can't read good books in affordable price anymore.
Sadly I'm going to return it.
I was very eager to read this one as the content of this book is very interesting.
But I'm going to go for an ebook now.
