It kept her reading during the period away from school, and was another in the set she was collecting, and often read to us over FaceTime.
It tells the story of the Baudelaire orphans in a carnival where they have to disguise themselves as 'freaks' in order to prevent their identities from being discovered.
The book contains the usual amount of woes that the children have to go through and it is gripping with a cliffhanger ending that means you are sure to want to read the next book.
I highly recommend this series to anyone aged about 8 years old. Keep in mind that it is advisable to read them in chronological order (the first book is called the Bad Beginning).
This book like the rest in the series never fails to deliver the right amount of thrills and imaginative scenarios to make a gripping book!
The pages are small with easy to read writing and short chapters making it suitable for children.
