About the Author

Roy Thomas (b. 1940) is a prolific comic book writer and editor. He's most well known for serving as the editor-in-chief of Marvel comics after Stan Lee, but has also worked for DC, Charlton, and Archie. He introduced the character Conan the Barbarian to American comics, and has also written X-Men, Avengers, and DC's All-Star Squadron. In 2011, he was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame.

Mike Mignola is known as the multi award-winning creator, writer, and artist of B.P.R.D. and Hellboy, but has fostered other projects like The Amazing Screw-On Head and Baltimore with Christopher Golden. He began working as a professional cartoonist in the early 80s, drawing "a little bit of everything for just about everybody"--including characters like Batman and Wolverine--but was also a production designer on Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Mignola acted as a visual consultant to Guillermo del Toro on Blade 2 and the film versions Hellboy, which were broadly adapted by del Toro from the comics. Mike lives in southern California with his wife, daughter, and cat. --This text refers to the paperback edition.

3.0 out of 5 stars Comic clásico pero faltó
Reviewed in Mexico on 22 October 2019

I was so excited to find this item. It was meant to be part of a gift for my sister's birthday because she absolutely loves the movie. But the package arrived damaged. On a black cover the damage looks more obvious

Roy William Thomas, Jr. (born November 22, 1940) is an American comic book writer and editor, who was Stan Lee's first successor as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics. He is possibly best known for introducing the pulp magazine hero Conan the Barbarian to American comics, with a series that added to the storyline of Robert E. Howard's character and helped launch a sword and sorcery trend in comics. Thomas is also known for his championing of Golden Age comic-book heroes – particularly the 1940s superhero team the Justice Society of America – and for lengthy writing stints on Marvel's X-Men and Avengers, and DC Comics' All-Star Squadron, among other titles.

Thomas was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2011.
