Product description
Review
A wonderfully bright and noisy book (Book Trusted News)
A wonderfully rumbustious noisy poem (Northern Echo)
A book to brighten the dullest day ... intensely coloured, exuberant illustrations combine with a jazzy rhythmic text to produce a book that demands to be real aloud (The Scotsman)
Hard-to-resist rhythm (Childrens Bookseller)
The words process up, down, around and across the pages in perfect harmony with the dinosaurs' dancing and prancing. There is a tremendous sense of movement in the illustrations, which seem to gyrate before your eyes (School Librarian)

My 2.5 year old loves it. He's a big dinosaur fan so we read it over and over again every night before bed for a while (at his request) and now he knows a lot of the words and recites it as we go. The rhyming and repetition definitely helps (although I skip some of the repeated parts when we need a quicker story before bed!)

My favourite bedtime reading
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 January 2006Verified Purchase
After borrowing this from the library, I loved it so much that I had to buy it. I'm not generally a fan of poems or rhyming stories, but I enjoy reading this book to my kids more than any other.
The subject matter is timeless and the exciting, fast-paced rhyme flows oh so easily, slowing down at the end to calm the children down ready for bed.
As long as you can manage names like "Deinosuchus" and "Deinonychuses" without stumbling and spoiling the rhythm, this is ideal bedtime reading for pre-school children. I feel sure that it will also be a good one for slightly older children to practise their reading.

This is a MUST HAVE for all little'uns!! My nephew is 2 going on 3, and he absolutely loves it. Naturally, it's the book he always goes for when it comes to bedtime stories. The alliterative style makes it fun and enjoyable for both kids and adults - seriously, I get as much pleasure reading it as he does listening to it!

A great story

Really great story my 3 year old daughter loves it - so much so that she has learned a lot of the words by heart and is saying them as i read them. The story is supported by great pictures too.
