This book is the story of the the 3rd one among the Maheshwari brothers, Bharat Maheshwari, a moel by profession and a casanova by choice! Here comes the entry of our heroine, Dia (apparently short form of her real name which I came to know later in the story).
Dia comes as a one plus with her friend to a high end party where Bharat happens to be one of the guests. The very first time they both lay their eyes on each other, they knew they needed the other person. Sparks flew and they ended by together for the night and that is how we are introduced into the story. However, the morning after, as Bharat open his eyes, he's met with an empty room with no trace of the lady anywhere. This also adds on to the fact that he know nothing of her except her name, not even her surname.
Not able to forget her, returning to the same place a few days later, he goes on a search for her. After many failed attempts and on realising that though he didnt know her, she could easily contact him but chose not to, he feels dejected. Heartbroken, going on a binge drinking spree for 3 days, and finally opening up to his brothers, he gets back to his normal world but not the same old Bharat anymore.
On the other hand Dia knows she had fallen for a stranger and though she could contact him, her insecurities hold her back. She drowns herself in work raising in position professionally with an almost zero personal life. But she makes sure to go through all the magazines with him on them.
A painful 2 years later they both find standing infront of each other in the most unexpected way. Does love rekindle? Is Bharat loyal throughout? Can Dia overcome her insecurities? Do they stand a second chance together? Well thats an interestong story to go through.
What I like is, even though its a bold romantic genre, the main story stands out enough to balance it all. You'd really wanna know whats gonna happen to them. And the characterisations are great. Especially the female lead, she's opinionated & practical and doesn't allow the personal probs to affect her profession or carrier. The book shows the Indian marraige scenarios, the family influence and values. At the same time it also concentrates on the modern views and ways which our society is still experimenting on. It goes on a fast pace, sometimes a little too fast.
Now that I've read it, I wanna read the other books too to know the story further. The Maheshwari members sure are interesting and I'd definitely want to read more about them. Its sure gonna be fun.
The story revolves around Maheshwaris' third son Bharat. Bharat met Dia at a party casually and the meeting ended in bed. Bharat is a handsome hunk and hot model trending in magazines and fashion industry. He is famous as Casanova. So Dia thought they won't meet again because how a hot and dashing hunk can be interested in an ordinary girl like her so she just dropped the idea of going further. And on the other hand, Bharat was restless and badly missing Dia. He couldn't find any interest or enjoyment in any other girl.
Then, one day they met at a get together of their families and they found out their parents are old friends. Then, Bharat confessed his feelings to Dia and all of this was a dream come true for Dia. They carried on their relationship. There was a small twist in the story where again Bharat thought Dia has left him. Has Dia again left him? Will they be together? Well, grab this book to get to know.
The story is simple love story yet it kept me hooked as the chemistry is narrated perfectly between Bharat and Dia. Also, the little things a boy cares about and shows his understanding is cutely described. Dia is also supportive to his unconventional career. When Dia decided to start her own business in food, Bharat immediately agreed and also helped her in her food truck. This is what everyone finds in his/her partner to be always supportive not just verbally but by actions also. The story was fast paced not overly descriptive or stretched anywhere.
Overall, I enjoyed the story thoroughly. The author has tried to maintain reader's interest throughout and it's a short read so can be finished in few hours. The language is lucid. If you are a romance reader, you can't miss this book.
The story Casanova's wife as the title suggests is a story about Casanova Bharat who is a top notch model falls in love with Dia a management trainee.
I had read the 6th part of the book and due to which I knew how the story ends. But that doesn't change the fact of a beautiful narration, witty sense of humor, or the steamy romance between Bharat and Dia. All this expected from Sundari Venkatraman's book and it delivered in the story.
Just like Suraj Bharjatia is famous for family movie, the same is captured by the author in this series. Each story connected, yet different. And I believe that is the USP of the book.
Most entertaining part of the book will be Bharat assuming Dia dumping him, the way they meet, and Dia's cooking.
As an avid reader, I expected more to happen which it doesn't, hence a reduction of a star.
Overall the book takes you for a romantic ride.
Now Our protagonist Bharat Maheshwari third son of Maheshwari is a super model who does modelling for every brand or everything that you can name. He is famous, has a stardom of his own and also known as Casanova.
Coming to our female protagonist Dia, who is a management trainee in Mumbai goest to a party hosted by a Beauty Brand because of her bestfriend where she gets along with Bharat.
Things take a very interesting turn when they both spend a night together and Dia explores that he is a Casanova. Disheartened by knowing the fact, she makes herself understand that Bharat isn't a life partner material and leaves him.
The book doesn't stop with surprises here. They meet and find out that both had felt the same way back then.
It's an interesting turn of events and the narration is engaging and fast paced.
