Ted is VERY eager for Christmas to arrive!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 November 2019Verified Purchase
Most grown ups know the feeling...'Are we nearly there, yet?', when you have covered 7 miles of 350!
Well this book is a spin on that theme, 'Is it Christmas, yet?'...as Ted tries the patience of Big Bear in the build up!
From the back cover (last image below refers):
🎄 ‘Christmas is coming and Ted is SO excited, he’s just about ready to pop!
“Is it Christmas yet?” he cries.
“IS IT CHRISTMAS YET?”
Poor Ted – will it EVER be CHRISTMAS?’
~ TITLE: IS IT CHRISTMAS YET?
~ AUTHOR/ILLUSTRATOR: JANE CHAPMAN
~ PUBLISHER: LITTLE TIGER PRESS LTD
~ 2014
‘Printed in China’
ooOoo
Follow the 2 bears, preparing for the big day across colourful pages with brilliant illustrations, from author Jane Chapman, as always. The facial expressions convey a mixture of emotions as Big Bear gets a bit grumpy with Ted’s never-ending enthusiasm!
Things don’t always go as planned:
🎁 ‘But wrapping was tricky…
and surprisingly sticky!’
…and Ted is a little picky, from time to time, especially with his choice of Christmas tree that ends with some huffing & puffing (and frayed nerve endings) …but…all is well, at the end.
ooOoo
Well bound (7 x double-thread sewn) and measuring around 24.5 cm x 27.75 cm, the colourful, thick card cover has embossed shiny silver titling that glistens in the change of light, enhancing the matte finish, silver coloured edging to the tinsel & baubles that Ted is decorating ‘Big Bear’ with, on the front.
The book opens to 32 shiny finish pages with the story spanning 24, in double page spread format.
The very first page is an opportunity to claim ownership (1st image below refers).
Each double page spread has a few lines of text in black, ENHANCED at times, FOR EFFECT, giving that chance to all join in, if reading to a group!

This book was just the perfect book for my 5 year old son who couldn't wait for Christmas. All I ever heard was is it christmas yet? Is it tommorow? Is christmas this week? When's christmas? 🤦♀️ I came across this book and knew instantly I had to purchase it. I read it to him on Christmas eve 😊

Poor Quality Construction

The book has great graphics, but it never got to my Grandson as it fell apart as I was leafing through it when it arrived. No staples holding the pages in, just a thin line of glue at the spine that is not up to the job, will be asking for a refund

Lovely heartwarming storybook

For the last couple of weeks before Christmas, with everyone starting preparations - and celebrations - so early, it's the perfect book for children who really don't understand all the waiting! Beautiful illustrations and a great plot. Grandkids love it.
