5.0 out of 5 stars Beyond perfect book!
By shivani.rohella on 10 April 2019
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Mass is the second book in the Throne of Glass series. Celaena, who is the brutal king's champion comes closer to find the answers to how she lost her freedom, where the king's powers come from and what he plans to do. The book is filled with deadly secrets, shocking occurrences and spine-chilling events. Although the narrative was very slow at the start, it became intense and gripping later on. I noticed the same pattern in the first book as well. I wasn't prepared for the secrets which were revealed in this book; I was left shocked and excited when I finished reading this book. Saying anything more would mean spoiling the book.
.
I also liked the themes in this book. Horrifying reality of slavery, the danger of excessive power and the good vs the evil occupies a major part of the book. This book shocked me and made me emotional at the same time. It is a perfect blend of all the things a book should have and I absolutely loved it ❤️
