★ "Feder’s simple art features light pink backgrounds, a diverse cast of supporting characters, and details that make the story feel real . . .  this book offers a wealth of perspective about coping with grief." —Publishers Weekly, starred review

★ "Equal parts celebration, reflection, and mourning, this graphic memoir touches on the unpredictable path of grief . . . Grieving teens will find incredible solace in Feder’s story; all readers will be stirred by this wrenching yet uplifting musing." —School Library Journal, starred review

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it, must read
By Littlemissbibliophile on 15 September 2020
This is a beautiful book by Tyler Feder. It's like I was actually peeking into someone's life, being part of the story as it is beautifully written and the illustrations are apt and beautiful beyond compare. It was a soothing read, even though it is about loss of someone really close and special. Grief is not something to be hidden, but rather share it and that's exactly why you should read this book. This is a celebration of someone so cool, fun and a very beautiful person. I love everything about this book. The cover, end pages are so pretty and the designs and illustrations will keep you going till the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best buy of 2020
By Sreya Dutta on 19 November 2020
Heartwarming and super authentic. Anyone who has lost their loved ones to terminal diseases will be able to relate the most. Even for those who haven't, it's a must read. A journey about the grief and whirlwind of all emotions of a sophomore when mother is diagnosed with cancer, the mother's death, and her dealing with everyday life, is so breathtaking that it makes you smile, laugh, cry, choke up and feel an array of emotions that you have not felt altogether in a while.

5/5 for me. And Kudos to the illustrations. Beautifully depicted memoir in the form of a graphic novel.
