The book can make you cry
Reviewed in India on 27 December 2018
Sometimes you come across an emotional story, read it and wonder why it finished so soon. This happened to me when I read this short story. After a long time, I read a good emotional story and I was contended after reading something soulful. I give it 5 stars out of 5 and here is my review of it.
The story is based on the life of Abani Halder who is being badly treated by his son and daughter-in-law. He had done his best to give a good life to his son but is not getting the same in return. The mental torture for Abani is too hard for him to bear, especially when his partner is not there and he is made to feel like an unwanted person in the family. Though he has faced so much, he still cares for his family. That is what parents are known to do, they have a big heart, forgive the mistakes of their children and always care for them.
The title of the book is an attractive one. It gives you an idea that the book has a sad story. The cover is perfect and one can relate it to the story of Abani. The plot is relatable and you must have heard such stories every now and then through newspapers or social media. The narration will make you think about what is happening in the society these days and can even make you cry.
Pick this up if you want to remind yourself about the love of parents.
