5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Read!
By shena on 24 September 2021
A lovely book that has all elements in a story: Passion, Hard work, Love, and Struggle.

"DESTINED", the name itself caught my interest. Rubina has a stronghold in penning mixed feelings people as protagonists. This story is a good mix of an employee and her employer. I love the language, characters, behaviour and all the elements that have been used.

Esha, our female protagonist is a lovable, independent cute little soul and a hard-working girl. She was taking care of her dying mother all these years, and her world fell apart when her father was diagnosed with cancer. She hates the way history repeats. She felt the responsibility on her shoulder and she is not sure if she can manage it.

Rohan, our male protagonist is the young CEO and a charming Boss for Esha. When he came to know about Esha's financial situation, he proposed the idea of a contract marriage with her because he likes to catch two fish with one worm.

Now come to Esha's point, to meet her financial needs Esha requested her senior for a loan. But because of the problem her company is facing she couldn't get it approved. When her boss came to her with this contract marriage proposal, initially she disagree but eventually because of her financial burden and her father's treatment, she gave her consent.

Why is it always the woman who has to sacrifice or have to choose between her family and her husband's family? Here in this story, Esha's condition is like that. She was put in that situation where she needs to choose between her marriage with her childhood friend Ayush and her father. If we experienced something like this, we should know how it feels to leave everything we love and take care of a family member with a terminal illness.

No one is born with the capability of taking care of an ill person in a family. Not even a single person is prepared for this kind of disease. We wouldn't know this unless and until we experienced something like it. I am glad that the author chose to tell a story on this highly pressured social problem that every single woman is facing.

Hope you all read this book to get a glimpse into Esha's life and her contract marriage with Rohan. Do they fall in love? And how she tackles all her life's problems in one hand. Recommended.
