JUST WOW I LOVED IT - TWO INSECURE PEOPLE GREAT READ
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 June 2022Verified Purchase
LUCAS DUKE OF GREYFAIR
Lucas had lost his pregnant wife in a fire when their home went up in flames, in an effort to save her he was badly burned and scarred . Rumours spread accusing him of murdering his wife.
Lucas stayed away from society vowing never to marry or produce an heir, however he realised without an heir his family's name would die out.
LADY AMELIA (WAS ALWAYS MADE TO FEEL UNWANTED)
Had two sisters AMELIA felt her two sisters were her responsibility she wanted them to marry for love. Whilst she was offered in marriage of convenience to a man she had never met.
I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL THIS BY SAYING ANYMORE - I WILL HOWEVER TELL YOU I LOVED IT. CHARACTERS WERE GREAT LOTS OF HEARTBREAK AND SURPRISES.
ENJOY IT I DID.

Good, but not Clever's best
Reviewed in Canada on 10 April 2022Verified Purchase
This book started off disjointed and incongruous, but picked up as time passed. Not to give too much away, but the lack of introductions in the first chapters just made no sense. I almost gave up reading at that point. However, I had faith in Clever and pressed on. The passion scenes were pretty hot, but not Clever's hottest. Main characters were developed, but secondary characters not as much. Overall, an ok start to a new series.

A delightful page-turner

I loved this book by Jessie Cleaver – very much a beauty (albeit a flawed one) and a beast story. The characters were beautifully drawn and the story engaging. I'm looking forward to reading the next books in the series!

kinda boring

I found it hard to finish reading this. It started off as a Cinderella plot & then shifted to other generic plots. Overall the plot was hopelessly boring.
