Elliot and the Whale Tale (Elliot's Adventures Book 3) Kindle Edition
Elliot gets a gift and a big responsibility when his mother buys him a betta fish. He excitedly cares for it and thinks his little blue friend has a secret - he isn't a fish, but a baby whale! Elliot wants to help him grow and then release him in the ocean, but the sea may no longer be safe for whales. Elliot must first learn to do his part to care for the ocean before his friend can go home... if the ocean is his home, that is.
Funny and empowering, the Elliot’s Adventures children’s books are an ode to loving the world we live in by respecting nature and wildlife. The stories are designed to stimulate children’s imaginations and encourage unstructured outdoor play at a time when kids are spending more hours than ever behind a screen each day. A mother and son collaboration, this series is a celebration of parents and children everywhere.
A perfect book for parents and kids who:
– Enjoy fun adventures
– Love to learn about animals
– Care about the environment
– Want to protect wildlife
– Believe kids can make a difference.
"Playful and Educational! Elliot and the Raccoons' Wild Party is an adventurous tale of a boy who gives chase to mischievous raccoons but soon realizes they're not to blame for their mess-making behavior. The author subtly teaches young readers that raccoons are creatures worth protecting, and shows what we can do as humans to help the wildlife around us. A perfect balance between playfulness and teaching, this story is a delight to children and parents alike. The coloring pages are a wonderful bonus that helps engage children even more."
"Silly and Sweet! A children's book featuring some mischevious little characters, is just the thing children can relate to! The illustrations in this book are a perfect match to the innocence of the story, and when their cute friendly faces are caught indulging in the trash bins, my 7 year old laughed out loud, then giggling at every picture. He wondered what would happen in 'real life' if raccoons were trapped, which gave us a great opportunity to talk about wildlife encroaching on previously wild lands and how to treat these so-called nuisance animals - with caution and respect. Simple enough for little ones to enjoy, but I love how this book makes a fun and adorable opener to some heavier issues for the older kids too. This would be worthwhile incorporating into a home-schooling lesson!"

This book touches on such a critical and important topic, while keeping it kid-friendly. The illustrations are beautiful and the colors are nautical, fitting the theme. The checklist at the end made the book interactive too. I highly recommend!
