Andaleeb has written this series spanning across multiple relationships. Her ability to create fictional characters that stick with you and make you wonder about all your past relationships is remarkable. This book sees an almost reunion of all her characters from the past, much like a Barjatya movie :), but without the fakeness. It seems natural and a given.
Andaleeb's heroes are mostly supportive men (that itself should make this fiction!), women firebrands in their very conventional, normal lives. She isn't out there espousing radical characters with radical life decisions- these stories could very well be yours and mine. Aditi and Sandeep's story rekindles lost love and is a very mature love story. Her feelings towards Sandeep and the distancing is very real, his goodness is a little stretched, but I'm biased.
What I'd have loved to see more of: The reason behind Sandeep distancing himself from Aditi could have been explored more, Suhas and Natasha seemed like props and wonder if they could've done more. Natasha's inlaws seem too progressive for reality ;)
Enchanted by you - second chance of love in between Aditi and Sandeep rao. The story line is wonderful that it can make u emotional and happy at the same time. The author give life to all the characters in the Destination wedding series from Naima, Kimmy, shireen and now Aditi. Another phenomenal writing by andaleeb wajid mam.
What I love most about Andaleeb Wajid's books is the agency that is afforded to the female characters - they are strong, compassionate, willful women who generally know what they want in life & refuse to settle for anything less than what they truly deserve.
I was looking forward to Aditi & Sandeep's story (and the author will testify how I kept badgering her to write it soon!) because unlike the other 3 books, not much had been said about these two characters in the series save for a passing mention. So there was very little background to build up on, hence I think the ability to play around with the characters more without any restrictions of continuity.
Sandeep is a tycoon with an immense, deep-rooted love for his mother & his sister, the apple of his eye. He entrusts the planning of her wedding to Aditi, his college best friend because she's the best in the business. But were they just friends, or something more? Is his motive to hire her as the wedding planner just to give his beloved sister the wedding of her dreams or is it to revive all those college memories and make something more out of them?
Andaleeb answers these questions through the course of the story, that juggles beautifully between the past & the present. While in college, Sandeep was affable guy whom everyone loved to love, it was Aditi who brought down his defenses & truly understood him for what he was. But even she wasn't aware of his deepest secret, one that affected his life in more ways than one.
In the present, it is clear that Sandeep & Aditi are attracted to each other, but what will come of this attraction? Will their romance be given a second chance? How will love find a way, when there are walls up everywhere?
The chemistry between them is sizzling, but there is so much more passion, love, understanding & angst too, as well as a mutual respect for work & families. Seriously, what's not to love about this love story that has all the makings of a definite happily-ever-after!
Andaleeb wins my heart yet again & I'd strongly recommend this as a must read!
A beautiful story that kept me up through the night because I really could not keep it down. The story has been written in a unique way and moves between the past and the present alternately, building the back stories of the characters and not once was I confused. The story is about friendship, family, romance, insecurities and second chances and has been portrayed beautifully. The characters are realistic and relatable and so are their emotions. The characters from the previous book in the series make their appearances off and on and that really helped me stay connected to the series. I really hope we can find Ghazal’s story in the next book of the series.
Loved the book.... especially how the characters are written... Dignified and relatable... As the story goes back and forth in time, there is no confusion whatsoever in the story line. I've read many authors who write past / present scenarios... and most of the time I've got to go back and re - read the scenario just to make sense. I loved the book... and as usual Andaleeb's style of keeping it real stands out! She just knows how to make a woman beautiful... inside out!
There is something special about second chance romances and when written in Andaleeb's inimitable style, they're even more incredible. Aditi and Sandeep are wonderfully relatable and with well fleshed out backstories that have you rooting for their happily ever after.
Enchanted By You is the sweetest second chance romance that I've read in a long time. It has the right amount of angst, heartbreak and pain, which is balanced out by the sizzling chemistry between Aditi and Sandeep, as well as a deep understanding and a love that conquers all. Once again, Andaleeb has won our hearts with her wonderful writing.
I am truly amazed how Andaleeb ma'am creates such beautiful and real characters everytime. Aditi and Sandeeps story was a bonus. It held just the right amount of romance, heartbreak, empathy and passion. It was wonderful to see all couples in the Destination Series find their HEA. I really hope we get to read book 5 as well. I am rooting for Ghazals story somewhere. Waiting for maams next book eagerly.
Andalib u rock. This is my first read of yours & I was really not expecting this book to be such an enchanting read. Lead characters well sketched & chemistry was just superb. However Chennai episode could have been avoided but doesn’t deter the 5 star ratings for this story.
Although i love Kimmy and Khalil's story the best, I loved this one too. It is sweet and romantic, and i was rooting for both of them right from the start. Loved the series and i wish to see more of all the characters again!
