Being a person with a chronic illness, I related to this book on so many levels. I related to Will and his wish to see the world instead of succumbing to his illness AND I related to Stella and her wish to keep living.
I know my previous review on Goodreads said that it broke my heart, and it did. But not because it had a sad ending. No, it wasn't that at all. It broke my heart because it was too beautiful to be true, and I loved it for that. The ending was so hopeful, so... good.
I cried, sure. I cried a lot, but not at the end. Because unlike ALL the books I've read with characters who have chronic illnesses, neither of them died in this one. The story ended with a hopeful epilogue, and that's what made me give that ❤️ (heart) in my rating.
If I could, I'd make everyone read this book, but since I can't Imperio everyone, I am just going to have to request you nicely to please go read it 🤨
I have fallen in love with Stella and Will and I am not sure what do I do now!! ❓❔
📚 This book will definitely bring you down to tears. 💔A heart-wrenching romance about Stella and Will who meet at the hospital, both getting their treatment done for cystic fibrosis. Apart from love, this book also justifies how strong a friendship can be through Poe. 👫
🍂I remember a point when Stella tells-
“𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵-𝘪𝘧 ‘𝘴?? 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 !!”
🍂I think most of us today are just alive, and not with a life. After reading this book, I am definitely making a yearly to-do-list, starting next year, of course. 🙋🏻♀️
🍂Also some of us do take our lives for granted, without realizing that some people just wish they could live a little longer.

It is a beautiful story of two people who fell in love but they cannot touch each other. How we humans take this feeling of touch for granted and does not understand how grateful we should be. This book made me cry and smile at cute moments. I love reading such type of books which have the capability of touching your soul. I enjoyed reading this book to the fullest. Highly recommended!!
✨ I know the question is bit weird but directly this came in my mind while reading this beauty.
✨This one is story of two young people names Will and Stella, both fighting against the same disease i.e Cystic Fibrosis. This book explains about of Do's and don'ts for the individual suffering from this disease in a very romantic way. .
✨On one side where Stella is very organized person who likes to keep everything in control, on the other side Will is carefree person who just wants to go out of the hospital as soon as possible. .
✨Despite of all the rules mainly one rule i.e staying five feet apart from each other which is a must for patients suffering from this and knowing what the future holds for both of them, they fall in love with each other. Pure love, that's without any touch. .
✨Will distance become hindrance in their love, will they both recover soon by getting new lungs, will they both ever be able to touch each other? .
✨For answers all this question u will need to read this beautiful story and feel what goes through when u even can't touch the person u love.
PS: I cried while watching the movie and by reading the book too🙈

Now I have something to share with others that can show the good and hard sides of living with CF. Thank you!
Exposure is exactly what the reader will get with Five Feet Apart. It is the story of Stella and Will and their battle with Cystic Fibrosis. It chronicles the daily battle with the life limiting disease and also the isolation that comes with having it. Imagine having something in common with a small set of people but not being able to be close to those people because it could kill you. It must be so lonely.
I was quite moved by this story. It was uplifting and heartbreaking and funny all in one go. I was consumed by this story and was bereft when it ended.
Five Feet Apart by Rachel Lippincott is available now.
This types of books are so necessary and devastating as we get to see and understand the life of those with terminal illness. Real life probably isn’t all romance and longing but the descriptions of Will and Stella’s medical journey and their emotional development is a great way of teaching the audience about a disease that not many people would be aware of. The best way to get a message to the masses is to hit us where it hurts, in the heart and that’s exactly what Will and Stella do as characters.
I would recommend to anyone interested in YA medical troupes if that’s even a thing. Or those interested in learning about CF even though I’m aware that I’m sure there are many things the book doesn’t cover. Sometimes a little understanding is better than nothing.
(Still haven’t seen the movie. The tissues would be endless.)
