Freedom Seeker: Live More. Worry Less. Do What You Love. Kindle Edition
Beth Kempton went from being a life-loving, risk-taking adventurer to a grown-up, settled-down mother, wife and business owner, before realizing the life she had built was suffocating her. She set out on a journey to find personal freedom, and along the way encountered many others who were also feeling trapped – by their circumstances, relationships, finances, beliefs, doubts and fears.
Freedom Seeker brings together the insights, techniques and wisdom that Beth learned on her journey to freedom, including her unique system of 8 Freedom Keys which will help you to:
• Get clarity on what really matters to you
• Figure out how to live the life you want, whatever your circumstances
• Make a shift from worry and fear to feeling alive and inspired
• Find the courage and confidence to shape your future
• Reignite old passions, and discover new ones
• Feel much freer, and happier, every single day
Full of profound lessons, powerful exercises and inspiring tales, this honest and courageous book will help you to live more, worry less and find a way to do what you love, every day.
Women too often find themselves trapped by their own expectations, the expectations of others, and the pursuit of conventional - often materialistic - success. As they become increasingly imprisoned and weighed down by obligations, guilt, rules and the pressures of modern life, women see their early potential and ideals evaporate. Freedom Seeker offers a way out: an invaluable road-map to help women recognize the problem, trust their own instincts and, ultimately, break free. -- Carol Bellamy, former Executive Director of UNICEF
We live in times when building a career on our core values and vision (rather than on ones being dictated to us), is becoming increasingly possible. Beth is one of the pioneers in this new heady world of escapees and freedom seekers. The misconception that seeking freedom or escaping is running away from reality couldn't be further from the truth. Seeking freedom is finding one's true north. It is a struggle, and one of the most important journeys you'll ever take. Beth is the perfect guide for your most important quest yet. -- Ben Keene, Head of The Escape School, Founder of Tribewanted & Rebel Book Club
The search for a life we will love, not a life we have 'done', is not always linear. Enter Freedom Seeker and with it a safe pair of hands, a fresh new voice and above all, a well-lit path to find your way. Part toolbox, part wise tome and many a hilarious, honest missive in between, Beth Kempton's Freedom Seeker is a correction of the flawed reliance on the generic prescription of "happy... now!" Instead this book takes you on a personal journey to find your own curvy, bumpy line to your true self, and what you love. -- Sarah Dickinson, Co-Founder & Managing Director, THNK The School of Creative Leadership
Beth Kempton is a warrior against cynicism. In her quest to find the keys to freedom, Beth has found many inspirational tales of other people breaking the chains of routine and finding the path to a better life. Impossible to be cynical about that! -- Ollie Stone-Lee, BBC Radio 4 Today Programme
In Freedom Seeker, Beth Kempton examines the intricacies of a complex universal experience that often goes agonizingly unspoken: feeling trapped. Through personal reflection and shared stories, she opens our eyes to transformative ways to discover - or rediscover - the feeling of what it means to be free. With each chapter Beth graciously hands us the very keys to open our own cages, allowing us to liberate ourselves, unfurl our wings and fly! -- Tracey Clark, author of Elevate the Everyday: A Photographic Guide to Picturing Motherhood
It is seldom you get to read something so beautifully written and filled with immeasurable and unconditional inspiration as Freedom Seeker. Not only will you read Beth Kempton's book once, you will underline the words that speak to you, memorize the passages that are vital to your wellbeing, and read it again and again when you are wandering or lost and need a friend to help you find your way. It is an honour for me to highly recommend, even insist, that you add it to the list of well-read books in your library. -- Jo Packham, Editor-in-Chief, Where Women Create, Where Women Cook & Where Women Create Business
Although I already do what I love, there are still times I want to 'live more and worry less'. Freedom Seeker came at just the right moment. With practical and inspiring tasks Beth helped me think about what matters most in life. She showed me how to free myself from my daily routine, be more aware of the choices I have and make life more fulfilling and inspirational. -- Irene Smit, Creative Director, Flow magazine
Freedom Seeker speaks to the expansive spirit in all of us that sometimes gets crushed by the pressures of daily life, or suppressed by fear. This book will show you how to liberate that spirit, and be truly happy living in alignment with your heart. -- Amy Butler, designer, author and creator of Blossom magazine
When I quit my corporate job to pursue my passions I thought I'd automatically freed myself from the cage of external expectations. But just like with Beth Kempton's story and those of her featured Freedom Seekers, I needed to define what freedom really meant to me so I could eventually free myself. Beth's tested framework and Freedom Keys serve as a valuable guide and companion on the journey to finding your flock and taking flight. -- Jennifer Lee, author of The Right-Brain Business Plan
So there I was. Fluent speaker of Japanese, interpreter for royalty and elite athletes. I'd gaily tackled conferences with world leaders, but I was in a crumpled heap, feeling utterly overwhelmed by my own tiny baby. Odd, isn't it, that the whole new world of possibilities that comes with giving birth can actually make a new mother feel trapped. It wasn't until a long time later that I managed to re-learn from my children the art of existing in the moment. How I wish Beth had crafted this book years ago, so I could have learned the secrets of her Freedom Keys and managed to learn how to feel free in the moment much, much earlier. In a book that is truly supportive and brimming over with personal anecdotes, Freedom Seeker will help you discover how to become the best version of yourself. Just like on a plane, when you should fit your own oxygen mask before assisting children, you can't help others until you've sorted yourself out. In this book Beth has given us a feather on our paths, to remind us to pause, and help us become infectiously magnificent: the best example for our children. -- Hilary Frank, Mayor of Saltash (who, blessed with Beth’s friendship, still loves jumping in muddy puddles)
Life doesn't always turn out how we expect or hope. Freedom Seeker provides the tools to recalibrate how you look at your life journey, and break free from the constraints of your subconscious mind so you can soar. -- Leyla Hutchings, Trustee, Surrogacy UK
Freedom Seeker made me truly appreciate that I am the one person who can unburden myself of any constraints that I have unconsciously placed on myself over the years. This book is empowering and uplifting. -- Carol Couse, sports lawyer
As someone who cares deeply about making a difference in the world while also being incredibly career driven, I found Freedom Seeker a go-to for approaches, perspectives and solutions for taking the next steps in my life. The stories and advice are amazing tools for those struggling to find the right balance personally and professionally. -- Alexandra Chalat, World Economic Forum Global Shaper, businesswoman, sports and social change specialist
Freedom Seeker reveals an uplifting and vulnerable journey. Each step of the way I was left with a sense of freedom to truly live into my soul's calling and desire. A brilliant book. -- Lara Tabatznik, Founder, 42 Acres
Beth knows all about achieving astonishing success, but she also understands that even in the midst of outward accomplishments, one can feel trapped in a cage of responsibilities. There is often a need to recalibrate and get back to a sense of freedom. This is the perfect guide for that. I wish I had had a book like this at various junctures in my own career! -- Lilla Rogers, Founder, Lilla Rogers Studio --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

If you for a really sad reason don’t have children either because you never have or you don’t have them anymore this book is to be avoided. Children and parenting are rammed down your throat on every page.
I was looking for an objective book that would apply to all people or at least the majority. The scenarios are unrealistic and unattainable making it impossible for them to feel remotely in reach. Potentially leaving the reader in a more lonely place than before they started reading.
I bought both the paperback and the audio book to make sure I digested it fully as I had high hopes. These hopes were totally dashed.
I am a runner and get really fed up with the plethora of articles on ‘mums that run’. It seems fashionable at the moment to be a mother and not a person. That you are nothing unless you have a weak bladder and stretch marks.
Beth writes beautifully, her attitude is sunny but enough about being a parent, babies, pregnancy.....enough!
I often find myself feeling split in two – juggling the responsibilities of motherhood, work and running a house with carving out time for me – to do what I love, to focus on my own hopes and dreams and to plan for the future.
Freedom Seeker reminded me about the power of choice and helped me to identify what I need to do more and less of in order to feel happier and more fulfilled on a daily basis.
I finished the book feeling confident and positive about who I am, what I really want from life, and how I’m going to get there.
Beth’s words are real and relatable, inspiring and insightful, encouraging and empowering. They will touch your heart, open your mind and set you free.
