To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Great book and very informative, but a bit too advanced for a real beginner. A lot of focus on figures very quickly. The basic techniques felt a bit skimped. Would be better for someone with some ability and an interest in figures.
This book is from one of those authors that has several books around a topic, drawing in this case, with lots of reused content between them. Having said that, the content is too shallow for a book that calls itself a “complete professional course for artists”. Drawings are uninspiring, even amateurish in some cases.
The book cannot be considered a “complete” course, much less “professional” or targeted at “artists”. Even hobbyist can find much better books out there.
Although some of the art is inspiring, there are missing references, no bibliography or index. Original works of art are depicted without a full reference. A list of the artists involved is not easily located.
