Future Days Anthology: A collection of sci-fi & fantasy adventure short stories (The Days Series Book 1) Kindle Edition
Commenting on Mother by Rick Partlow: "Excellent set of short stories by some very talented authors... " - Amazon Reviewer
Commenting on The Good Citizen by Aline B. Kaplan: "... [a] terrifying meditation on many of the anxieties people feel today: Corrupt governments ... a digital economy... alienation from technology. It's all there in this dystopian vision of a future where cheap, obedient, reliable labor is more important than human rights." - Amazon Reviewer.--This text refers to the paperback edition.

Speaking of capitalism in one of the stories it repeatedly says 'capitism' which I am guessing is an oopsie.
The stories are all relatively good which is nice though some punch way above their weight class.
You have scary, hopeful, and incredibly sad heroism mixed in with cryonic life and death, custodians of the starlanes, and Callers and cullers. Warm hearted AI mothers sinning in the vastness of space and brilliant, deadly, and cold hearted village of the damned children ready to conquer.
The book feels fresh with the writers all being new to me or at least I didn't recognize any overt styles or names.
Highlights of the collection include "The Pink Star Ship Switch," "Custodian," "Jericho," and "Cull."
