5.0 out of 5 starsWonderful book with deep meaning and perfect rhyming
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 October 2019
This is one of the best examples of children's literature in the last 20 years. Amazing story about Gerald the Giraffe, who was sure he can't dance: his jungle friends were doing waltz and cha cha cha, and Gerald felt awkward. ... However, the truth is, everybody can dance, you just need to find YOUR music. Such a lovely and meaningful story for all kids from 1+. The rhyming is perfect, pictures are so colourful and just beautiful. The book comes with audio CD, where Gerald's story is read by Hugh Laurie. Honestly, I associate this actor's voice with doctor Gregory House))) and I absolutely loved his reading. So professional! My kid prefer my version, though) The only thing... I would always prefer a board book to last longer in the house with kids, however, this paper book seems quite sturdy. Let's hope it'll last. As this is a book plus audio "book", the price of this "bundle" seems fair to me.
5.0 out of 5 starsHighly Recommended: A wonderful story with fabulous illustrations

My two year old son loves this book. The story is delightful and has a lovely rhyme to it; having read it with my son just a handful of times, he is already reciting many of the lines back to me.
Every page is charmingly illustrated, with beautiful pops of colour throughout. This book has become a firm favourite for bedtime and my son loves to spend time looking closely at each page, discovering new images all the time and learning about the many animals included in the story.
The version we got includes a CD, with the story narrated by Hugh Laurie. This has been a huge bonus and we keep it in the car for times when we need to travel at night and try to replicate some form of bedtime routine.
I have to say I do love a good rhyming story with a few tongue twisters to throw out there
I haven’t had the chance to listen to the cd as to be honest I don’t own a Cd player. My ps4 can’t even play cds so will involve me ripping at my PC.
Lovely book and I think £6-8 is a fair price to pay. It’s quite a large and glossy book. It would be nice to get a smaller hardback version although this is fine.
The story is about a dancing giraffe who is mocked for not being able to dance. he then realised he can dance fine on his own and when he enjoys it not trying to impress anyone he is happy and that’s all that matters. Nice story and fun to read which for me is a bonus.
4.0 out of 5 starsGiraffes Can't Dance 20th Anniversary Sticker Book
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 March 2019
This sticker book for the Giraffes Can't Dance 20th Anniversary has over 250 stickers, is produced on high quality paper and is beautifully illustrated - it would make a lovely gift for a child who already has the book. (It's not necessary to have read the book to enjoy the sticker book but children will probably get more out of it if they are familiar with the story). As well as sticker pages there are a nice variety of other activities - a maze, match-ups, dot-to-dot, drawing, grid drawing, counting and a spot the difference.
However, it is only 20 pages long - this includes the four pages of stickers in the centre of the book - so will probably only keep children entertained for an hour or so on a rainy afternoon or on a short car journey.
Overall - beautiful quality, very well produced, pity it's not a few pages longer.
5.0 out of 5 starsAudio CD is a great added extra.

This is a lovely story about a giraffe who can't dance until he discovers a rythmn of his own, it's well known already to many, but this version is accompanied by an audio CD too.
Hugh Laurie is an excellent choice of narrator and the CD starts with an author's note explaining where the inspiration for the tale came from, which for me, gave it new depth. The production itself has a nice slow pace interspersed with gentle African rhythms and animal sound effects and Hugh's great voice. A lovely story and a winning audiobook. It would make a lovely gift.
5.0 out of 5 starsGiraffes Can't Dance 20th Anniversary Sticker Activity Book
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 March 2019
This is a delightful sticker book, based upon the picture book, “Giraffes Can’t Dance,” although it is not necessary for children to be familiar with the story in order to enjoy the book. There are over 240 stickers, which are in a pull out section in the middle of the book; making them easy to access.
The book includes puzzles, such as mazes, spot the difference, drawing grids, dot to dot, colouring and a nice, double page space, to put lots of stickers and create a wonderful picture. This is a really good quality sticker book, with lots of activities, early learning and a good choice of stickers.

A beautiful book with wonderful illustrations and an important message to children (and adults too). This activity book has 250 stickers t place in beautiful scenes, and many other activities to keep little ones busy. I would suggest this book is suitable for any 3-5 year old who loves stickers and stories. This would make a wonderful gift for any little busy bee.

This book was my daughter’s favourite right from being a small baby. She was engrossed in the colourful pictures and loved the cadence of the story. It has a great moral to it. She is now age 9 and still loves it!
The addition of the CD makes it even better. I would recommend that every child gets a copy of this book!
I use the book 'Giraffes can't dance' regularly in school for Growth Mindset lessons. This is a spin off comprising of a sticker book basically. It has a really good amount of stickers that are taken from the original book. Also included in the book are: picture puzzles; mazes; spot the difference; dot to dot as well as drawing and colouring opportunities. Would make a great holiday gift to keep your young ones occupied.

An activity book based on the story book with lots of simple but fun activities aimed at pre-school/early years aged kids; including drawing, spot the difference, dot to dot, maze, colouring and lots of stickers. It's not massive but will keep a child busy for a fair while and is a great add on gift if already buying the book.
