Very good story book for little ones. Maybe age 5 and above will be able to grab the meanings. Very lucid grammer used. Really good. Age 8-9 onwards will be able to read by him/herself. Few well drawn black and white pictures are there along with the stories. Highly recommended.
This book brought me fond memories with my grandmother. And I wanted to retain that magic with my kids. I read the stories one by one myself, then read them in parts to my children at bedtime.. and then re-told them in my own way to let the message sink in.. They enjoyed it! My kids are 9 & 5..
Reading is a very good habit. We should inculcate this in our children from childhood. Sudha Murty is a very beautiful lady in all the senses. She is knowledgeable, true philanthropist, kind hearted and teaches the way of life. She is rich not only in terms of money but also culturally. Happy to gift these books written by her to my kids. It is a blessing from Sudha Murty (Grand Maa) to kids. God bless her with good health.
Read out 1 story every night to my 6yr old son... He listened to them with rapt attention.. story time has become more fun for both of us...we laughed with the salt story and cried with the yama story..
Sad it came to an end..
Will hunt for more such short stories for our daily ritual of mother - son...story time..
Excellent collection of stories. Very well put together by Sudha Murthy. Each story builds up an air of curiosity for the reader and teaches a valuable lesson at the end. It's fun and entertaining for kids and adults equally.
I personally recommend this book for children's who r 5 and above... Below 5 years of age find some other story book guys as this book has a long story children's below 5 don have patience n they don understand few concepts like farming n all .. better buy if ur child is above 5 yr
Grandma’s Bag of Stories had good vocabulary. It had many short stories of about 7-8 pages each and they were really good. This book will keep you engaged for hours. It was fun reading this book and would love to read more!
