Amazon.com Review
Young fans of the unflappable Sam-I-am will be pleased as punch to discover the plethora of flaps to lift in this 10-page board book version of the Dr. Seuss classic. Sam-I-am does his very best to convince a more finicky Seuss character to try this rather unusual delicacy.
Would you? Could you? In a car?To which the exasperated doubter replies:
Eat them! Eat them! Here they are.
You may like them. You will see.
You may like them in a tree!
I would not,On every page readers will find sturdy, easy-to-lift flaps behind which reside the familiar characters and lines of the unique 1960 classic--except for the last page. Here, blank spaces lurk behind the flaps, just waiting to be filled in with peel-off pictures from the accompanying sheet of silly stickers. (Ages 3 to 7) --Emilie Coulter
could not, in a tree.
Not in a car!
You let me be.

We had already read the book in our library. And something about the rhyming sounds or being picky eaters related well to my kid and myself and so we ordered the book for our "Sam I am" moments. Most parents have to deal with picky eaters upto an age and those constant frusturations when the veggies remain in the plate, tanturms over no green stuff could be dealt to an extent by using the same sing-song way as in the book (making up your own "sam" and "ham" versions). Not that they would magically start eating veggies but it helps disipate the anger (both parent and child). My 4 year old almost knows all the lines by-heart, it is typical Dr. Seuss rhyming, easy to learn, silly and fun.

My 5 year kids love this book.. Big pictures and few sentences in one page. Kids automatically attract to this. Even pictures have self explicit meanings. Kids interpret sentences while looking at pictures. Go for it, recommended for 5-6 year old kids

My 2 year old daughter has close to 100 books . There are a lot of them that she loves, some she is not too keen on . But I hate to admit, I have hardly written reviews for any of these books.
But this one is a special one.
It is a beautiful book, the text is very catchy and it is awesome fun. After 2 days of reading it, my daughter is runs around singing "could you , would you "all day and I catch myself humming it very often . It is great for reading out aloud and cheers you up instantly.
Great for any age !

Must have for parents of small children(4-5 years old). The story is very funny and instructive. Whenever I need to remind my daughter to try out new things and she hesitates, I just narrate some incident from this book and she immediately gets the idea that she should be trying new things.

Bought it for my recently turned 2 year old and I love it. The text is probably a little difficult for a two year old but the stickers are providing the fun.

My entire family loves this book! I especially like the subject matter of this book, since my daughter is a fussy eater. Innumerable meals have gone in thanks to variations of "would you? could you?" :)
I don't have any complaints on the print quality either.

My daughter loves reading this book. It is suitable for a beginning reader with basic word blending and phonic skill. All books by Dr. Seuss are fantastic.

Excellent l toy

I bought this for my 4 year old. He loved it and it was a success. The only fault was with the various small parts which were lovely but not conducive with the attention span of a young child. I appreciated the tiny details of luggage and coffee cups for the passengers but he found them all too easy to scatter. similarly, the pilots hat which would have survived if it had been stuck on his head...it is daily search to find it.
Despite my comments above, this is a terrific toy and beautifully made. I recommend it.

One of the must haves for Dr Suess books
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 February 2018Verified Purchase
I always wanted these books as a child, bought them countless times for friends children and now I can buy them for my own. My little boy started a bedtime routine at 4 months so I picked up a few books for Christmas and this was number one of the Dr Seuss books on my list.
At 7 months we've been reading for a while now and although he cant understand the story yet, my baby boy has been absolutely facinated since an early stage with looking at the bright colourful pages and watching me read.
Great addition to any library and for all ages to enjoy.

Fun book for young children

Simple fun book with bright pictures and a lot of repetition which helped my son to recognise new words. For months this was the only book I was allowed to read to him at bedtime and it wasn't long before he was able to read it himself.

This is a better-than-average paperback copy of this wonderful book. Slightly larger than previous formats, better quality paper. Totally delighted! So is my granddaughter!
