My 3 year old son has fallen in love with this book and the characters Gruffalo and the mouse. There is also a short film based on this book on Amazon prime which is fabulous. I would suggest reading the book for the child and then watching the same come to life in the movie. This is a must have book. Both Paper book and the board book are good. Paper books are bigger but if ur child is likely to tear the book, then the board book is better. This is one of the best books by this author.

This is a must have book for any baby who loves books. Not just my 2-year-old daughter, my husband and I enjoy it to the core too. It is beautifully written in rhyming sentences that are so catchy and funny. The storyline is wonderful too. My daughter has already memorized it. Highly recommended! I wish they had maintained the same standard for 'The Gruffalo's Child'.

Big book. Thick, medium glossy pages. Suitable to endure the handling of a 4-5 yrs. Lovely colorful pictures to understand the story and attract them.
2. About 26 pages long, meaningfull story with great philosophy. More pictures, less word- perfect for a budding little reader .
3. Rhyming lines. Simple enough, to be understandable, enriching enough to build their vocabulary.
4. Perfect delivery from Amazon. Original version.
Already bought The Gruffalo's Child ☺

An incredible book - the story is clever and witty, the illustrations are very creative and beautiful. I got the special gift edition hard bound cover that looks gorgeous. I found the book a bit small, but it didn't bother my 4 year old at all, as it fits well in her hands. I read the story to her everyday, and she has already memorized bits, and prompts me!

Book binding, illustrations and story are all brilliant. Ever since we got it, it has been my 3 year old's favorite one and he completes most of the lines. He shakes his head patronisingly with "silly old fox, doesn't he know"... such joy

Love Julia Donaldson books. A bit of hit and miss with my kid. Some of them he likes. This one he hasn’t really taken to. But I encourage reading it to your kids all the same.

When you have a quick-witted mouse, a deep dark woods, and a monster, you pretty much have all of the ingredients you need for an interesting and appealing book. That's certainly true when you frame them in colorful and engaging illustrations. And it's absolutely true if the story is presented with a strong and rhythmic read-aloud rhyme scheme. This is fun and silly and full of energy, just like the kids you'll read it to. A nice find.

Good story, children enjoy it!

Brilliant story. I bought this a long time ago for the children and it’s one of their favourite story’s. Unfortunately the book got distressed over time and when my toddler decided to go full tantrum mode one evening the book got destroyed in a matter of minutes. So I purchase a new one and the new one is good and sturdy and very colourful. The children couldn’t wait for it arrive! To be honest I love this story myself! 🤣
