This is the the perfect book to snuggle into bed with your little one. I bought it when my little one was around 5 months old. I have been reading it out loud and animated ever since. It's brought smiles to his face every single time. Now he is just over I've year old. I read it just before bedtime. And every single time I reach the part where the dad puts his little over to sleep giving him a good night kiss, my little one climbs onto my lap, gives me kisses and hugs me! It's so wonderful! Thank you Amazon for making these books easily available.

This book was not an instant hit with my toddler but gradually became his fav book. We read it every day now. Prints are big and every page is hard and not easy to tear. Have attached a pic holding in hand for size reference.
Story line is very cute and simple language. It’s a conversation between a father and baby nut brown hare as to how much they love each other and who loves more.
I changed my voice for baby n father and even enacted few scenes and it got more interesting. Soon he too started enacting. Now everyday life we try n compete watch other on ideas to express love.
That was was what author also intended to teach the kid may be.

There is a reason this book is a classic. The story is lovely and the illustrations are subtle and beautiful. My 4 month old enjoys my narration in an animated voice and I am sure she will love the story years later as well. Lovely service by Amazon.

ABOUT THE BOOK - It's a Board bOok containing of 6 Pages - all against white background with yellow and brown theme (just as shown on the front page of the book).
Story revolves around like this - Little nutbrown hare is going off to sleep and says big nutbrown hare that "Guess how much I love you" to which big Nutbrown hare asks "How much" and sweet little innocent little nutbrown hare starts explaining his love for big Nutbrown hare by stretching his arms wide, running around, jumping as high as possible and so on and so forth. But somehow little Nutbrown cannot outdo Big Nutbrown Hare's love for the little one and finally realises that love cannot be measured. Its beautiful to see how the love blossoms between any LIVING BEING - be it Humans, Animals. And also baby Brown's innocense is pure bliss. For a mother his/her child is always going to little no matter how old or big the child grows. Beautiful story conveyed in just simple English without any grammatical errors. But wish there was more to the story.
PAGE QUALITY - Nice, Sturdy, Thick, Glossy pages.
PACKAGING OF THE BOOK - Was packed without any plastic film. Suggest plastic film is added to the book owing to monsoons and also as additional protective layer between outer packaging and the book because one has to be always cautious while opening the package - to not tear the book.
PRICE - INR 388/- for 5-6 pages of Board book. Found it little expensive.
BOOK AVAILABILITY - Book is at times available at times not. Also the seller keeps changing. Earlier when placed the order, my book got stuck somewhere in transit and had to raise a complaint. Finally got my hands through below seller and got delivery within the estimated time frame.
SELLER - Sold by "u-READ STORE".
DELIVERY - On time as expected with utmost care taken at both ends.
** Moral - Love is infinite and it cannot be measured in quantity. Especially love shared between parents and their child - very perfectly described in gist at the back of the book.
Happy Reading !!!

A simple story of two hares. It talks about the concept of love, something that can’t be measured. A story of a parent and a child telling how much they love each other through different comparisons.
Ideal to be read to toddlers 2-5 years of age. It could be a great bedtime snuggle read!
Some contradictory reviews that I read felt that the parent was probably trying to dominate the child.

it’s probably one of the cutest book I have ever read. It’s the kind of book that grows on you. The one that may not be a hit instantly but eventually becomes the comfort read, the one that you’d read just before calling it a day.

Its a great quality book.Touching story as well. Pages are sturdy that my naughty one cannot tear it. Not recommended for smaller children as book is heavy for them to hold and pictures are not colourful like other books. But its a great book for toddlers above 2 years. Packaging was great too.Thanku

Tale of Narcissistic Father Doing oneupmanship on his adoring son till son is crushed
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 January 2019Verified Purchase
I agree with W. Payne. As a parent with a medical background I find the level of narcissism, disrespect and disregard shown by the Rabbit father towards his child very damaging to the child’s psyche. The father claims he loves the child ‘more’ every time child expresses his love for the father until beaten down (whatever the child feels is not as good as what Daddy feels) and crushed. I had hopes for the end that the Father would accept the child’s desperate declaration of love to the moon as final, but no, father crushes the son with a ‘moon ..and back’ just as the child drops off to sleep. Toxic levels of grandiose bullying towards a child who never measures up to the greatness that is the father. I have grown up with 1 narcissist parent and an enabler parent, resulting in long term repercussions and so my heart sank with the message of the book (which is you can never do anything good enough to please me, the parent, as I am super-special and better than you at everything you attempt to do). It is not an appropriate book and should not be on the shelves of daycare centers or schools according to what I understand from my research into 0-5 yr neurobiology. Too bad children’s books don’t undergo strict peer review like academic research does.

Boring and don't like the over competitive parent
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 April 2020Verified Purchase
Bought before my baby was born as thought it would be a really sweet story. He is now 23 months and he doesn't like this book. The illustrations and story are boring and don't attract or capture his attention. I really don't like this book either. The big hare is constantly getting one up on the little hare, always having to be better and out do the little hare. Even when the little hare is falling asleep, he just can't let it go, he has to slip in with one more I'm better than you! Also the clunkiness of reading little nutbrown hare, big nutbrown hare over and over, it's just boring.

Lovely story and great that it is available as a board book
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 March 2016Verified Purchase
This is now my sons bedtime story. As it's a board book I don't need to worry about him ripping the pages, and he enjoys turning the pages himself - even if it does mean skipping ahead or starting the book again (he's 7 months)!
Lovely story and is great for bed time, he knows now to close his eyes when Little Nut Brown Hare does and goes off to sleep by the end of the book.

Interesting underlying message
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 March 2020Verified Purchase
Agree with some previous reviews that the older character (big nutbrown hare) tends to over dominate and almost always comes back with a better, bigger way to measure its love. Little nutbrown hare seems to enjoy this game, or at least the story tells us that. In the end sleep saves the day as little nutbrown hare delivers his final line and then falls asleep thinking he/she finally nailed it, found a way to show his love that would not be toppled. Well, big nutbrown hare still finds a way to win at this game but at least the little one does not hear it back. My toddler likes the story do we read it now and then.
