Carrie Stuart Parks is an award winning artist, writer, speaker, and law enforcement instructor. A Certified Forensic Artist, she met her husband, Rick, in the romantic hallways of the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Together they formed a dynamic and successful team in their fine and forensic art, working on major national and international cases and creating exquisite watercolors and stone carvings. They travel internationally, teaching forensic art to a variety of participants: from the Secret Service to the FBI, from large law enforcement agencies to the smallest two-man departments in their one-week classes. They are the largest instructors of forensic art in the world. Carrie has won numerous awards for her innovative teaching methods and general career excellence and is a signature member of the Idaho Watercolor Society.

As I read this collection I found the author's ability to make each story so different and keep the thread of regular characters in the mix. These were the first books I have read by this author and they just kept be riveted.
As soon as I finished one I could wait to read the next. Extremely hard to put down. Now I have to wait until August 2017 for the next one!

I’m so glad someone recommended Carrie Stuart Parks to me. I’m enjoying this series so much. I can’t wait to read the final/fourth book!

Gwen has her weaknesses and strength like anyone else. She has a fascinating career and has been though much in her life. She’s a fascinating lead character with immense love for her daughter and friends.

This series is full of interesting things about forensic artistry and is written in a way that it doesn’t become predictable at all. There is so much suspense and you can’t wait to read more.

I gave book 1 five stars and then 4 stars to books 2 & 3. I’m looking forward to the last book in this series and the new book coming out this summer!

This is the first time I have read Carrie Stuart Parks..... Where have I been!!???!!! She is an amazing writer and writes books that I could not put down. Sometimes in a series, when I have them all, I really struggle with going on to the next one! NOT WITH THESE BOOKS!!!! I was sad that they ended! I love Gwen Marcey, her friendship with Beth and all the characters in the book were real to me! I am so looking forward to reading her other books! This is definitely an edge of your seat marvel! The author certainly crafts tight and suspenseful murder mysteries. My problem stems from the same exact scenario in Book Two as in the first novel. Why in the world would both bad guys have to be wearing the badge of a good guy?
I’m stalled, early in the second book, and am not sure I can drag through the dismay again.
