Joanne Rowling was born on 31st July 1965. Dianne, her younger sister, was born almost two years later and Joanne’s earliest childhood memory is of Dianne’s arrival. She, her sister and her parents lived in Winterbourne, Gloucestershire, until Joanne was nine, when the family moved to Tutshill, near Chepstow.
Joanne grew up surrounded by books as her mum and dad loved reading – she says, ‘I lived for books … I was your basic common-or-garden bookworm, complete with freckles and National Health spectacles.’ From an early age Joanne wanted to be a writer. She wrote her first book at the age of six – a story about a rabbit called Rabbit. Then when she was eleven she wrote a novel about seven cursed diamonds and the people who owned them.
Joanne went to school at Wyedean Comprehensive School and then went on to study French and Classics at the University of Exeter. Her Classics studies would come in very handy later when she was thinking up all the spells in Harry Potter, some of which are based on Latin!

Actually they increased the price right on 12.06.19 because on 13.06.19 3rd book prisonerof Askaban was releasing.
I had placed my order before that.
Had some minor marks on the cover but no bends or folds of pages.
Go for this book as it comes from Delhi and Bloomsberry has their publication house in Delhi too.
Loved this book as it has extra information about Gryffindor house.(Hose founder, Professor McGonagall, house ghost etc)
For 2nd book (Chamber of secrets) I would suggest all Potterheads to go for Slytherin House as it has extra information about Dobby. This way slowly you'll get all the houses and a good collection too.
The book itself is in pretty good condition but it's apparent that it is no way a collector's item considering how dull it looks. Chamber of secrets was relatively better in it's bright red color theme.
The house editions were supposed to carry some more info regarding their respective houses but there is hardly 2-3 pages of introduction for each house along with their founder in 1 paragraph description. There is no new information apart from that which was already known to us from the books and pottermore.
I expected better from Bloomsburry
