Corine Gantz was born in France, where she spent the first twenty years of her life. She studied Contemporary Arts at the Sorbonne, and has worked in advertising and marketing in Paris, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Her first novel, Hidden in Paris, a story of friendship, love, food and dysfunction set in the City of Light was translated to nine languages and was followed by a cookbook with all the recipes in the novel.

Her new book trilogy, The Curator of Broken Things, is a fast-paced three part novel weaving multiple viewpoints across a century and is set in Paris, Algeria, and the South of France.

Corine lives and writes near Los Angeles with her husband Joe, a documentary filmmaker. They have two very creative sons working in music and film.

5 stars because i can find no fault with it The characters are believable and the descriptions of Paris take me back there.The story is so gripping to me because there no parts of it which caused me to think "Nah that would never have happened" There are no saints in here just real life flawed people Basic storyline is young widow with 3 boys left the States with her husband and set about being the perfect wife, cooking French food and lovingly restoring the worst house on one of the best streets in Paris Widowhood forces her to rethink her finances so she puts an ad in various newspapers in the states for tennants The ones she finds are inevitably runnind away from something and then there is her friend of a friend the almost starving artist in Paris who takes her final room That,s all i am giving away!

I just love Paris, whether it be visiting Paris or reading about Paris and after reading the reviews thought it would be a book that I would enjoy. A great light/easy read, I could envisage the characters, all different, each with a story to tell, sometimes funny sometimes traumatic but Annie was there, she would be the friend we would all love to have! I would definitely recommend and hope like other reviewers that we will hear more from the author.

However, I feel there's nothing here not to like really and I can imagine it as a "chic flick" maybe. Probably a book I'll give away and not want it back, but it's fine : a good light read for holiday time.
