"A high-spirited impetus to clap hands—or better yet, someone else's." —Kirkus

"An interesting concept will elicit giggles and enthusiasm from readers, and neon colored pencil illustrations, reminiscent of 80s spandex suits, fill pages with vibrancy and energy." —School Library Journal

"This new offering from the Dragons Love Tacos team is sure to delight audiences—and should make for lively story times." —Booklist

3.0 out of 5 stars Like the story, hate the pictures

The story (a high five competition where the reader “wins”) is interactive, clever and entertaining. I’d enjoy reading this book a lot more if the illustrations weren’t awful to look at. Totally different style of art than Dragons Love Tacos. I don’t get the aesthetic...it also makes it hard for my toddler to follow along (he has great stamina for listening, but probably doesn’t comprehend everything orally, thus the pictures are critical to support his understanding. Due to the sketch-like quality of these drawings, it’s hard to decipher what’s going on (ex: the elephant doesn’t really look like an elephant).
