This book is so fun and engaging. My 5-year-old loves it. (We have all Rubin's other books too and are fans.) Read this book to your kiddo in your best sports play-by-play announcer voice. You won't regret it.
Heard great reviews on this book and was looking forward to sharing it with the grandkids. They showed little interest in the book even after I encouraged them to do high fives. Tried it on all four of them aged three to six with no success.
My 3.5 year old little girl is smitten with this book. She gets to read 3 books before bed, and since getting this book she has chosen to read it for all 3 stories every single night for weeks. It has a nice rhythm to it, as expected with this author, so it's fun to read to her too.
I got this for my son (who is a fan of Dragons Love Tacos) after seeing it in person and knowing he'd have fun with it. He does. It's unique, interactive, rhyming, and the illustrations are unique. We have a blast with this one!
I am shocked by others reviews. This is my favorite book of these authors. It is such a great concept and a really fun read. Maybe not the best "bedtime story" as my 3 year old loves high fiving the book. It has become my new favorite gift to people as well. Highly recommend this book.
Four year old reads it constantly and enthusiastically. I just wish there was a board book or something more sturdy than paper because he high-fives the book (as it instructs) with such vigor that it occasionally tears the pages.
Fun book! It's large and aesthetically fun with creative artwork. I sat down on the floor to read it to my daughter (3) and son (5). As I read, they started high-fiving the book, and felt compelled to stand up to provide "better" high fives. I love that they listened to the story and the bonus was that it got them moving around, which helps little ones learn.
