About the Author

Rupi Kaur is a poet, artist and a performer. As a 21-year-old university student Rupi wrote, illustrated and self-published her first poetry collection Milk and Honey. Next came its artistic sibling The sun and her flowers. These collections have sold over 8 million copies and have been translated into over 40 languages. Home Body is her third collection of poetry. Rupi’s work touches on love, loss, trauma, healing, femininity, and migration. She feels most at home when creating art or performing her poetry onstage. --This text refers to the paperback edition.

I cannot begin to describe the love I feel for rupi kaur. Her poetry has saved me. Given me hope on my darkest of days. And Home Body follows suit.
This gorgeous book is split into four parts;
mind
heart
rest
awake
Mind explores depression and trauma, expressing the feelings we're all too scared to allow ourselves to feel.
Heart explores the love of not just romantic relationships, but family and friends, and the beauty of community.
Rest explores taking care of oneself and nurturing the soul.
Awake explores empowerment.
And it's all incredibly beautiful.
I was crying on page 12. The beauty of rupi's writing never fails to overwhelm me with love.

our pain is the doorway to our joy

Amazing Book 😍
This was my first book from Rupi Kaur, I’m going to get the other two books once I’m done with this.
The words are used so perfectly that can describe every single feeling within us.
