The most productive man you could ever hope to meet -- TED.com

Extraordinary . . . eye-opening -- David Allen, author of Getting Things Done

When you have read this book, get ready to do your most important work! -- Chris Guillebeau, author of The $100 Startup, The Art of Non-Conformity, and The Happiness of Pursuit

Let me guess. You’re like me. You don’t have time to read this book. Or any book! Who has time for books anymore? Well, that’s perfect. Because it means you have the disease. And right now you’re holding the cure -- Neil Pasricha, author of The Book of Awesome and The Happiness Equation

I <b>loved </b>the book. -- Greg McKeown, author of Essentialism

Being hyperfocused in a busy world is a skill every professional needs in their arsenal. Chris Bailey will show you how to master it in his new book <i>Hyperfocus</i> -- Vanessa Van Edwards, author of Captivate --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

From the Back Cover

<b>How to manage your attention in order to get stuff done, become more creative and live a meaningful life.</b> Do you feel as though your attention has never been so overwhelmed? That you’ve never been so busy while accomplishing so little? Backed by the latest neuroscience, psychology and mindfulness research, <i>Hyperfocus</i> is the solution we’ve all been looking for to best manage our attention. Even more importantly, it reveals a simple, practical model we can all use to achieve greater productivity, creativity and purpose throughout the day. The trick to getting stuff done is to understand that we switch between two attentional modes: hyperfocus – when we are intensely focused on one task, and scatterfocus – when we let our mind wander. By understanding the difference, you can establish a clear physical and mental environment in which to work, thereby managing your motivation and learning when to pay attention and when to let your attention wander usefully. In each chapter you will find practical takeaways to live and work more effectively and creatively. <i>Hyperfocus </i>is an everyday toolkit written to help readers unlock each of the two mental modes so they can focus more deeply, think more clearly and work and live more deliberately every day. <b>Praise for <i>The Productivity Principle</i>:</b> ‘Chris Bailey has tackled the daunting task of personally experimenting withany and every technique you can imagine that could positively affect your productivity. His dedication to the project and his intelligent conclusions, combined with his candour and articulateness, make this a fun, interesting, and useful read!’ David Allen, author of <i>Getting Things Done</i> ‘Here’s a book that promises, in the title, to pay for itself. And, the truthis, it will, in just a few days. And you’ll even enjoy the journey.’ Seth Godin, author of <i>Linchpin</i> --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read my review carefully before buying.
By Subhasish on 3 August 2019
Do you messed up in your life?
Can you focus in one tusk for a long time?
Do you feel less creative while using technology?
Do you face a bad sleeping habit?
Do your lifestyle destroying your future, you know that but couldn't do anything?

If any of answer is negative then buy this book. This book is
1) Not a motivational book like telling you 'do this, do that' full of advice. This book is full of examples scientific experiments. Thats going to clear your 'why' needs to change yout habits.

2) while reading you can feel the hardwork made by author. Full of logical example.
3) You can relate your life.

4) It have full potential to change your life. No motivation it was journey of knowledge and realisation. It would be fun.

I am telling you such a way because this book changed my life. I am thankful to author.
And my last advice if you don't mind try to read this book with in 3-4days if you take 2 weeks then your mind cannot process whole knowledge of the book. Believe me the best part of this book is in middle, finish and apply. It would be fun. All the best for your better life.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware of pirated copy
By Pankstein on 21 July 2020
This review is not about the contents of the book (for which I will give 5 stars), it's about quality.
I have received a pirated copy, poorly printed on low quality paper. Even you can't hold it in your hands while reading.
I'm returning it now.
