But I must admit that when I heard about or saw the copies of #ImmortalIndia , his debut on non-fiction book. I was a bit skeptical of picking it up. I mean I always have kept my favorite authors clearly demarcated as FICTION and NON FICTION writers. Having said that , I must also admit that I am an ardent Amish Fan which made me order #ImmortalIndia on preorder. The author proved me wrong by miles and bounds, #ImmortalIndia proves that there are no Fiction or Non Fiction authors but only great writers with amazing thought processes. The point is further proved the moment you are at bookstore either at a mall or a bookstore you would find this great collection topping the charts / book stalls.
The book is divided into three broad parts i.e. Religion & Mythology, Social Issues and History followed by some insights from Amish under the heading Musings. The collection of his essays , interviews and speeches which were published in recent years are very thought provoking. He talks about (yes he is actually speaking in your head while you are reading) a wide range of subjects from Lord Shiva to LGBT and concludes with Bharat Mata Ki Jai. We are still a young and restless country but we are inwardly and awkwardly closed. Amish has touched upon some topics which by an large society considers to be a taboo but his thoughts resonant with the contemporary thought process.
As I said Amish does not need an introduction, so if you have completed SITA ……………………..…. Go For This great read !!!
The main reason to admire this book a lot is, this book makes us proud to be born in India, this book does'nt just restrict itself to a specific religion and make its readers open minded on different issues.
In Shiva Trilogy Amish dealt between Good and Evil. In The Ram Chandra Series, he is discussing about An Ideal Society. But in this book, i personally found the effort of Amish to make the upcoming generation to know about Mother India and carry the traditions forward by covering all the topics he can.
It is a duty of every Indian to know about this country's greatness and this book helps us in knowing about it.
This is a definite read by everyone. I thank Amish who made us 'think' about our Motherland in this busy life and i expect more such kind of books from him.
And, eagerly waiting for Raavan - Orphan Of Aryavarta.
The interest to read such a collection of his thoughts on individual matters can only come if you have a connect with the author; lucky for me, I have that.
I have gone through 5 of his 7 books so far, with this book being my 6th read, and I like his writing style.
If you are someone who is up with the socio-political aspects of today, the middle portion of the book is UNMISSABLE. His thoughts are so valid, logical, and truly the way forward.
In short, this book is for Amish fans who wish to know what his views on a few societal issues are.
Safe and secure packaging.
Regarding his articles on social issues, one can find that Amish Tripathi has a deeper understanding than many Indian youths. He substantiates his argument with facts that why problems like female infanticide, road accidents are actually taking away more lives than the current burning topics in media like “religious intolerance”.
He lets the readers know how the British could colonize India, even they are very few in number compared to Indians, with their illegal opium trade, and the fault of some Indians who could not resist that by vividly explaining the concepts Swadharma and Rajya Dharma. He gave a fitting reply to the people who opine that British rule is advantageous than being disadvantageous with some facts.

Very readable and knowledgeable. Plenty of food for thought.
I am reading the Kindle version slowly and thoroughly enjoying it.
