Yet another read from you know who, my-soon-turned-favorite Preeti Shenoy ji, as amazing as any book, but i liked the 2 points that are touched really well in this book other than the theme, love for pets and the pleasure about raising kids, holding a life born from u itself is a thing of tremendous joy one that is indescribable in words, how beautiful it is raise them, take them for a walk, tell them our own life stories and saying that oh boy, your father was a hell naughty way back in your age, awesome narration, i really felt touched and emotional by the efficiency with which she carried out handling the sensitive emotions that can take your life turn all round at once, caring for a life that is brought from you, is simply the most mandate feeling one responsible citizen ought to have, and the determination, courage and patience portrayed by the protagonist "Vee" is damn inspirational, it is the way he chose her life to be creating paths she found joy and happiness in, paving for her own life in her own way, yet ofcourse life had it's own twists and turns for her, she stood and faced it all, succeeding in all tests life has put and in the end she did realize that " It happens for a reason ", what path u chose in life to shine doesn't really matter but ur commitment and determination towards pursuing that career where ur happiness lies, shows to the world what difference it is to live and to be happy.......!!!

Once Again, thanks madam for giving us some extraordinary literary works..!

One time read, second time you find the mono perspective narrative of the protagonist unjustifiable.

A bit disappointed just because of the mono perspective in which the story is narrated. Most of the decisions taken by the protagonist can be barely justified. If the story had been narrated from another perspective of the supporting characters the book could have been more appealing. Being a feminist i was not able to justify the decisions made by the protagonist but the writer chose to justify it anyway which is very unfair as it very unjust to the story itself.
Overall the story plot is good with different aspects of life embedded in it.
This book can be recommended as an one time read.

I read it in oct 2018 & reread it now, in oct 2020 and found a dried crouton 🍀leaf and was so happy n nostalgic.

Vee, loving and carefree, is overridden by lust at the ripe age of 18; she lands up pregnant and has to make the final call on whether to keep the child or not. She chooses to become a single mother, which leaves her modeling career and personal life in mayhem.

After being deserted by her family and Ankush, the man she thought she loved, she finds comfort and love in her son, Aryan.

The story fast-forwards to sixteen years later and we see a new Vee. Working between two jobs to keep bread on the table, her relationship with her son is emotionally stirring and elating to read. While Aryan hopes his mother finds her Prince Charming, Vee nurtures her secret crush on the quirky vet, Saurabh.

This small world where Vee survives is ripped into shreds when two major twists hit her life. An accident at her dig-boarding facility and the return of Ankush into her life bring chaos flowing in all ways. As Vee, Aryan and Ankush get into a roller-coaster heading straight to nowhere, the reader enjoys their bumpy ride.

A medium length bk around 260pages, capable of being finished in max 2 sittings!

What is so good about this book is the fact that the author has turned a pretty straightforward plot into a very interesting read. The idea behind the book is a tried and tested one but by sheer dint of imaginative writing and narration the author manages to hold our interest through out the book. I kept turning the pages nonstop. Recommend this book for people who love romance.

Amazingly writtien by Preeti mam, really this book conveys a very good message about how things just happen in life and there's nothing much anyone can do about it rather than accpeting them and dealing with them in the best possible ways. The book is about a girl named Vipasha, with whom a set of unfortunate things occur, which atleast to her seem unfortunate at first , but at the end she understands that ' It happens for a reason'. She makes some strong decisions and how her life turns out to be a mess but she still finds ways to conquer through her problems.Offcourse she has some quality support from her 2 friends and a caretaker and also from her father. Though its quite well written but I still thought that it got just a little boring at the start ( just before that unfortunate incident takes place at paw factor) otherwise it was a delight to read it.Great job Preeti Mam. Loved it

The book is well written with some good quotes within it reminding the reader that life is about making choices and indeed everything does happens for a reason! This is the first book I've read by Preeti Shenoy, I guess my expectations were high.

The story, the way it started felt promising and interesting. Somewhere midway it lost steam for me, when the thread of Vee getting involved with Saurabh, was abondened.

The only character which was well etched was of Vee, apart from her no one stood out. I expected Saurabh to play more role in Vee's life, so that it would have been difficult for her decide between Ankush and Saurabh. That thread felt incomplete.

Why was the mother vindicated? I couldn't understand.
