Product description

Review

"The professor has a nephew; he's his research partner. They have this theory, he's slightly mad but they must go and find out [if it is true]. Actual classic mythology has said that Mt. Sneffels [a volcano with a glacier covering its summit in western Iceland] is a portal to the center of the earth." --This text refers to an alternate kindle_edition edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Imaginative and yet realistic
By Digital Panache on 20 May 2019
To even conceptualize something like this during the time Jules Verne wrote this book was something to be really proud of and one must acknowledge such imagination and creativity. However, Jules Verne didn't leave much to imagination when it came to detailing.
It could have been something totally out of the park with the kind of imagination the author has, but the author kept that imagination to the concept and when it came to detailing, he has done justice to reality. One may not get swayed away with things which seem unrealistic or not pragmatic in approach or actions. That care is taken by the author which makes this a gem of a book.
