I read sci-fi fantasies often and I'm so glad to have come across this book! The first thing that caught my attention was the attractive cover; it is so beautifully designed that it literally lured me to dive deeper into the book. The title has an intriguing effect and I couldn't wait to start reading at once. This story is basically a blend of YA, sci-fi and fantasy. Lilla, the bold female protagonist, is a rebel princess who is fighting for the freedom of the refugees as her father had been overlooking their oppression. She is fighting not only for her subjects, but this is also a fight of her own - a fight that will reveal her true self, a fight that will make her aware of her capabilities, a fight that will reveal her destiny before her. Will she be able to win against the adversities and save the world from the impending doom that threatens to uproot the galaxies? Read on to be a part of her journey and find out!
I totally loved the writing style. The unexpected twists and turns made the story even more interesting. The suspense element is so well developed.
The theme is really nice. The plot is intricately woven. Characterisation deserves special appreciation. Especially I am in love with the character of Lilla. She is so bold, adventurous and brave. Though the book is long, it's a fast paced read and thus not even for once did any sign of monotony crop up. The language is simple and lucid. The narration is so engaging that it kept me glued to the story till the end.
Overall this is really an amazing read! Enjoyed it thoroughly! This is already one of my favourites!

The story is about a young princess who joins the rebellion to save the immigrants as a promise to her dead mother.
The protagonist Lilla is a brave girl, She prioritises the well being of refugees even in the worst of their situations. She is very kind hearted.
She is dragged into a more-devastating war of Gods as she is the last one to save her planet.
This is the story of young, powerful & soft hearted princess Lilla. She had lost her mother at a very tender age. She's a princess who is humble and kind to everyone. But when she sees injustice anywhere she becomes a real rebel & fights for their rights and justice even if the fight is against her own father or closed ones. A powerful general Callum arrives, on the process, Lilla gets to know about her magical powers.
The mystery & love that revolves around Lilla and Callum makes the whole story more interesting. The twists and turns, the picturesque era war makes this a perfect blend of read.
The book is pretty good for new readers & also for those who are new to this genre. The characters are well written with unique storyline.
I highly recommend this book to the people of all ages because there are no limits to imagination especially fantasy and SciFi lovers.
Though I'm not a fan of sci-fi books but this book has the capability to hook you till the last page. It's a long read of nearly 350 pages. It will take u real deep thinking about how to solve the mystery of the galaxies, the dark god's and the refugees.

Novels & movies in the scifi genre are so hard to come by. We don't find many good ones in this category. Hence, it's so underrated. The difficulty lies in the fact that the execution of concept along with the right story becomes somewhat crucial for it to become successful. Moreover, that's the reason why the final outcome doesn't always match with what the creator planned in mind. The optimum framework of things which are crucial prevalent across all forms of scifi imagination is what makes this genre very much interesting & difficult to accomplish as well.
The description of the book is rightfully good & most essential to captivate my eyes. The visual effect given here has such a rendering effect that it reminded me of the Hollywood movie series titled 'Avengers'. Significantly, this fact matters the most according to me as it lays an underlying impact on our minds. To be specific, the transition of worlds via interspacial & intergalactic medium made my reading really delightful.
Fantasy elements like magic & technology have been infused together & incorporated well throughout the book. The detailed outline has been impressive.

A fast paced sci-fi, fantasy adventure
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 February 2021Verified Purchase
It is hard to believe that this is a debut novel as it is a really fast paced, gripping read! I do enjoy sci-fi but it always makes a nice change to have such a strong female lead character that you find in Lilla. A princess who ends up fighting for the rebellion, refugees who had originally come to Lilla's prosperous planet looking for a new life but instead had found hardship and misery amid gross mistreatment.
The inclusion of the rebels having grown out from refugees hit home for me given our current climate. What a great way to make a sci-fi context relatable to our own world. It made Lilla's choice to fight with them a believable choice for a feisty and independent young woman who was railing against her suppressive family and fighting for justice against her father.
Some reviewers have said that they found the story rushed in places, for me I didn't find that at all. I loved the detail and the full on action. The author holds everything together really well and her ability to develop Lilla's character is superb. The mix of spiritual, fantasy, romance and adventure makes it for a great read.

The Last Lumenian is a fast-paced sci-fi fantasy book. Lilla is a rebel fighting for refugee rights. Her father, the king, is against everything she fights for. Lilla's life is full of responsibilities she doesn't care for, love interests, and political agendas. Now it looks like a new Era War is on the verge of starting, and Lilla is a key player. She must accept her true self and fulfill her destiny.
Lilla, our protagonist, is independent, strong, and resourceful. On the other hand, she's a little awkward, naive, and burdened with panic attacks.
I really liked reading from Lilla's perspective. She doesn't know all the answers, but she's determined to do what is right. She struggles to fit in with her family and always seems to be the odd one out. She's different, which makes her character stand out.
The plot is rushed in places. The story concept is fascinating, but I thought there was too much happening in such a short time. This book could have been two or three books instead of one. With extended writing, this could have easily made a great series. Regardless, The Last Lumenian is full of action and romance that holds its own in this genre.
The Last Lumenian is a book that is easily devoured. The pages turn, and before you know it, you've finished the book! The story is addictive with the right balance between sci-fi and fantasy. I recommend it to both young and older readers.

Worth a Read

I loved the imagination that went into this book. My favourite parts were all the strange and unusual creatures that popped up throughout the book. While many were based on existing creatures, the author added something different to each one. It gave the book an added layer of fantasy.
The only reason I haven’t given this five-stars is the repetition in places. There were a few words and expressions which I felt were overused. This may just be me who picked up on these, but once I noticed it was a little frustrating. For this reason, I won’t say what they were, as I don’t want to ruin other readers’ enjoyment of the book.

This book was a fantastic piece of escapism over the Christmas period.

I was impressed with the realistic and flawed protagonist. The author didn’t make her a superhero, they made her real and human. This was something I empathised with and I felt that other readers would too.
I found the ideas in this novel brilliant but the pacing a little off. It seemed that the story had been condensed so that it would all fit in one book and that took me out of it at times. However this was a well written book with a very clear sense of style.
Bravo to the author!

This lovely story kept me on my toes all the way through. My only option was to read it in one sitting and I enjoyed it from the very first sentence.
I absolutely adore the author's writing style - it had me under a spell. The whole story was a sequence of twists and turns, plenty of magic, love, mystery and adventure. Honestly, I couldn't think of a better combination and this book was by far one of the best ones of its genre I've read lately.
