Best mouse you can possibly buy at this price point. It is light weight, comfortable to hold ( both with claw and palm grip) and it just a different experience all together. Bought it for playing fornite, six siege and pubg, and I feel like my game has improved.
The Logitech G402 HyperionFury FPS Gaming Mouse has proved to be a reliable tool in my gaming arsenal. I'm curious to see how long this device will last, thought the build quality seems solid enough and the texturing around the grip and surface is very comfortable. The extra buttons are reachable and tactile but not excessive, the scroll wheel is comfortable to use, and the on-the-fly dpi shifts and programmable macros is a nice touch. The mouse also—of course—is excellent for casual internet browsing sessions or getting any work done on a computer or laptop. My only complaint is that it a wired mouse, however the cord is plenty long (I've actually placed cable ties on it to shorten it) however is not braided.
Games Mainly Played: Counter Strike: Global Offensive,PUBG,Fortnite
Update 08/09/2018: The sensor on this mouse has begun to skip on several different surfaces and after multiple attempts to calibrate it in software. Another aspect that has started bothering me about the mouse is that there lacks support for my ring and pinky fingers eventually leading to them cramping over long periods of use. This didn't happen in the first few months of using the mouse, so it would appear that this is a growing pain and in my opinion really hurts the ergonomics of the device. It's important to note however, that I palm my mice. If your mouse posture is to claw, then you may find this better suited for you.
Pros Very comfortable to use Lightweight 6 Programmable buttons Great button positioning and response Easy DPI switching Software for customizing the mouse Cons No weights system No RGB lights Doesn't look very premium
DESIGN The matte and glossy black plastic combination is certainly not offensive but neither is it all that inviting, plus the offset glowing blue G logo looks a bit wow at night time.
ERGONOMICS While the G402 may not look the part to use it most definitely feels it. The matte finish feels great under your hand and fingers while the contouring is near perfect. The elongated gently-curved top section supports the hand nicely when in a more relaxed position while the scalloped, rubberized sides provide a really firm grip when moving the mouse with thumb and little finger. The flared section under the thumb-grip also really helps the thumb to not slide off. In contrast, the Steel Series Sensei’s fairly flat sides can almost cause the thumb to slip under the mouse. Now I come to the buttons and they’re almost flawless. They all click instantly rather than having a stodgy, delayed feedback. They’re also placed perfectly.
FEATURES The headline feature of this mouse is its 500inches per second (IPS) sensor speed. IPS is usually the top speed at which the optical or laser sensor stops being able to consistently tell how the user has moved the mouse, and it usually tops out around 100-150ips. However, what Logitech has done with the G402 is combine the laser sensor with an accelerometer and gyroscope. This allows the onboard processor to fill in the blanks so that the mouse still reports a reasonably accurate movement. It’s the same principle as employed by some sat navs to report a more accurate location. Logitech claims this technology allows the G402 to remain accurate at speeds of over 500ips. Powering all those extra calculations is the other headline feature, the 32-bit ARM processor. There’s no word on exactly what processor this is. As well as this very high speed, the sensor is also rated to 4,000 dpi and the mouse can report at intervals as low as 1ms. Neither are class leading figures but they’re competitive with other high-end mice.
SOFTWARE To get the most out of the Logitech G402 you’ll need to download Logitech’s Gaming Software. Here you can change the functions of all the buttons, fine-tune the DPI settings, change the polling rate, adjust the lighting for the logo, and there’s even a tool for testing how fast you can move your mouse! Overall it’s very clearly laid out and easy to use.
PERFORMANCE While a lot of the numbers mentioned in gaming mouse specs does sound like snake oil the results are clear. Tracking performance of the G402 is flawless. Sure a lot of high-end laser gaming mice are as good these days but it’s always good to be reminded of the price too.
VERDICT While it may not be the most attractive gaming mouse on the market the Logitech G402 HyperionFury absolutely delivers where it matters. It’s really comfortable to use and it performs superbly.
Logitech G402 is one heck of a mouse. At a Rs.2200 price tag, it surely is devastating.
Important features (Really necessary for gaming) - -1000 hz or 1 ms report rate, so basically no input lag. -240 to 4k DPI, more than enough. -Suitable for fingertip grip or palm grip. -Rubber support for pinky finger. -Since Steelseries QCK is a standard gaming mousepad, tracking is excellent and flick shots are accurate BUT (Negatives) -There IS mouse acceleration with or without fusion engine, even with raw input = 1(Still, flickshots accurate for me) -Sniper button not needed. It does nothing but mess up the playing style and focus on 2 sensitivities at once.
Overall - Buy this or if you don't want to, go for Steelseries mice or Razer Deathadder ONLY. And I'm LEM in CS:GO.
The Logitech G402 HyperionFury is the best budget gaming mouse you can buy in India right now. Here's why:
The buttons are very clickable and overall the mouse has a good grip. There are 6 buttons (including the left and right buttons) and they all can be customized with two different actions using the Logitech Software that you can download from the official website. The DPI of the mouse is not excellent, however rver it is satisfactory. FPS games are a pleasure to play wth this as there are options to change the DPI (240-4000) on the go. Overall I would definitely recommend this mouse if you are playing to get into entry level gaming.
The Logitech G402 HyperionFury is my second Logitech mouse, having used the MX518 for almost 5 years without issue. Two years into using it, I have no complaints.
The DPI can be set anywhere between 240 and 4000, and 5 preset levels can be configured using the Logitech software, with buttons that allow you to toggle between them. The tracking is good, and is ideal for FPS games like Counterstrike, but can also work for MOBAs like Dota or RTS games like Age of Empires.
It is a bit on the larger side size-wise, so someone with smaller hands might find it a bit too big for them. I personally use a palm grip, but think it would work with a claw grip as well.
You would be hard pressed to find a better gaming mouse in the Rs 2000-3000 section, and if you are looking for a value for money, long lasting and accurate mouse, look no further.
I'm not a gamer, I bought it for my daily use, programming, surfing, some office work and for the game Shadowgun I play the most nothing else I do on my system. So this review is totally based on my use. I love the lighting and I do have an RGB mechanical keyboard I wanted an RGB mouse but I was on a tight budget and wanted a good looking mouse with extra buttons and macro support which lasts long at least for an or two years so I had to go with world's most reliable keyboard & mouse brand "Logitech", My 6 years old rupees 300 Logitech's mouse still works fine. :D So I have faith in Logitech. But unfortunately there was not an RGB mouse in Logitech so HyperionFury was the best mouse in my budget I could buy if we ignore the RGB thing. I bought it and it was the right decision I made. Let's talk about good and bad things about this mouse based on my one year of use.
-------------------------------------- 📰 UPDATE (12-12-2016) -------------------------------------- After an year and few months it started double clicking. I contact Logitech support online and they suggested me to visit service center. When I checked the list of service center I found there are 4 service center in Jaipur and none of them picked my call and when I visited one of listed address unfortunately they said they don't provide service for Logitech, I said your number & address is listed on Logitech website, they replied "Our number is listed everywhere but we don't provide service for Logitech and we don't even know where is the service center." Removing 1 star for this frustrating Logitech services.
--------------------- 👍 The Good: --------------------- + Look, yes it looks CLASSY with its matt finish. + Design, design of this mouse is just amazing, it is very comfortable in the hand. + Build quality is excellent which can be found in every Logitech product. + It's imperative that a mouse doesn't make wrist hurt and so far, after one year using it, I can say it's quite good. + Both left and right click buttons are long and can be pressed from any point very easily and right click is longer than the left-click button which makes it more ergonomic. + Very long 2.1 m (7 ft) long cable. + Good feet rated to last long 250 km and feet are user replaceable too. + 5 extra user programmable buttons, The sniper button at the thumb location I set them to cut(ctrl+x), two buttons above the thumb are quite easy to press. I set them to copy(ctrl+c) and paste(ctrl+v), The DPI buttons near the left-click button I set them to Win+Left Arrow and Win+Right key as I'm heavy multi-tasker and work on a big 24-inch monitor these two DPI keys take some time to get used to, don't get me wrong It's not uncomfortable nor hard to press. + The scroll wheel is notched, and the scroll wheel button makes a satisfying "thud" when you press it. No complaints in this department. + Software is nice, light, quick to load and full featured packed, better than Razor, Mad Catz & Thermaltake(I haven't tried CM and Corsair software and mouse yet). + Performance is excellent, I use it with Logitech G240 Mouse Pad. + Very lightweight, weights is around 105-115 grammes. + Logitech India 2 years warranty.
------------------- 👎 The Bad: ------------------- - There is some glossy part on the mouse which can ruin the look after getting scratched. - It impossible to clean the glossy part where it joins matt part of the mouse, check in images. - Cable is not braided where other brands at low cost proving braided cables. - Not for the people who are lefty and use the mouse with their left hands. - The matt finish starts getting washed after one year of use and you can see your heat map on the mouse, check the images. - No weights management system.
--------------------- 💬 VERDICT: --------------------- Go for it, if you are a gamer, a programmer or a multi-tasker and you like a light weight sexy mouse it will make so many things easy for you, this is best budget mouse but do read bad things about this mouse before making your purchase as this mouse is not for the left handed persons.
I am providing some pictures of the product for better understanding as "A picture is worth a thousand words".
