4.0 out of 5 stars THE COMPLETELY LOST TARYN😏
Reviewed in India 🇮🇳 on 4 March 2022
It's a short e-novella to The Cruel Prince which is - Taryn PoV about the events from The Cruel Prince . Jude fighting against Prince Cardan and on the other hand, her sister Taryn falling in love with a not-known disaster Locke. Ewww, well, I could say Locke is your biggest mistake 🤒. He's completely a jerk and you completely know that and you just forced him to say about the proposal... Taryn , I don't like you and you're completely a lost sister like one of those lizards that change colour to match their surroundings😏.

A Novella to hate LOCKE more😏

(PS : You can read this novella, when you are half way though, after Part 1 in The Cruel Prince and better to read before - The Wicked King)

5.0 out of 5 stars Although I can’t stand Taryn, this was an excellent ‘case study’ of her that was very well written

5.0 out of 5 stars Super short but packs a huge punch!

The character element is probably the most significant in this novella. It is specifically retelling the story of The Cruel Prince from the prospective of Taryn, Jude’s sister. I was really intrigued to see things from her point of view. That being said, I still strongly dislike her as a character! In fact, hearing her try to justify her problematic behaviour only heightened my aversion.

The world is mostly built up in The Cruel Prince. However, having this extra inside knowledge going into The Wicked King really helped me to feel part of the story. Much like a fly on the wall, evaluating everyone’s motives.

The story progression that this e-novella provides is honestly amazing. My mind would be in a completely different place going on in the series if I had not read this. A lot of novellas don’t really offer much dynamic to the main story in a series, but The Lost Sisters really did that for me. I view certain characters completely differently now. I once thought Taryn to be such an innocent character, not anymore.

Overall, if you are reading this series and haven’t stopped to quickly flip through the novella, do it. It’s super short but packs a huge punch!
