The book has a lucid way of expressing the feelings. The characters and the minute details attached to it, made me fall in love with the book. The writing style is raw and pleasing. The way the previous story was connected and carried forward was amazing. Also the way Arav and Disha's story was hinted has made me crazy waiting for the sequel which by the way is releasing soon.
Overall a really emotional, beautiful and unique - in the way a male protagonist was given more detailing truly intrigued me.
This is a story of Arjun and Vihana, two very different individuals at different stages in their lives.
Arjun, lost his wife, the love of his life to breast cancer and was living with his mother. His mother, like any other Indian mother wanted him married and was looking for suitable matches, however, he was happy living with his late wife’s memories. His life took a turn when her mother invited Vihana to stay over.
Vihana moved away from his home at Delhi and wanted to build her life on her own. She wanted to start a business of her own. She is someone who is bubbly and enjoys every moment. She loved her food and liked all things unhealthy.
Arjun and Vihana did not really start at a good note. Both of them tried to stay away from each other, but soon things started to change. Read the book to find out about this amazing story!
This is a quick and amazing read. The plot is great and the story is really fast paced. There is no dull moment in the book. The language is simple which ensures that the reader stays hooked to the book.
Loved the way the author has described the characters. Every character is strong and has an important place in the story. I totally loved Vihana’s character. The emotions and events have been described beautifully.
Overall, it is a good read and I will rate it 4/5. I will totally recommend it to all who like a nice, sweet love story. Looking forward to more from the author.
Set in the backdrop of a family wedding (of the couple we read about in 'Love, Marriage & Other Disasters' - Vivaan and Alisha), as Arjun and Vihana interact more & more with each other, they also become part of each other's families. The camaraderie between the siblings is shown beautifully (and dare I add - rare in today's times!) - they truly stand up for each other in the best and worst of times. From potential alliances to hospitals, wedding shopping to supporting each other when new leaps in life are being planned - all the characters' lives are wonderfully intertwined, giving us a healthy dose of entertainment we didn't even know we needed.
'A lifetime of more' - is what Vihana and Arjun promise each other - a chance to feel loved & never lose the love.
Arjun and Vihana, like chalk and cheese completely different from each other. When Vihana comes to stay at Arjuns place, he finds her irritating. Taunting and insulting her becomes his second nature when suddenly he realises he has gone too far. To make amends he offers friendship and the roller coaster begins.
Vihana and Arjun, unable to deny their crackling chemistry try the routine of avoiding each other etc. Arjun is trying to get over his wife and finds himself falling fast for Vihana. Vihana on the other hand has come to make a name for herself. But she also has a secret Vivaan knows and worries about. What is Vihana's secret? Will they be happily ever after? Will Arjun get lucky the second time? Read the book to find.
The charcterization is brilliant, narration is smooth and the story keeps you hooked. Its great to meet Alisha, Vivaan and Araav.
The backdrop of the impending Alisha and Vivaan's wedding is used well. The emotional angle is explored well.
The conversations between the characters, their emotions, their feelings, their likes and dislikes have been depicted beautifully. I loved the humour in the book, the light hearted banter and also the serious conversations between them. I laughed with the characters, I felt for them and I cried with them
As with all her books, the language is simple, the story fast paced and enjoyable.
I loved the book and am looking forward to Arav’s story next.
I would really recommend this book to everyone with a suggestion, please read ‘Love, Marriage and other Disasters’ before you start this one, though you get a feel of that book in this, and sit with a box of tissues, as they might come handy. And one more thing, please be prepared to finish it in one sitting because you will not be able to keep it down.
